On April 11, the task force transferred Liu Xueqiang to the Kaohsiung District Prosecutor’s Office for investigation on suspicion of homicide, embezzlement, infringement and abandonment of corpses under the Criminal Code. The
task force quoted secret witness testimonies in the transfer letter and determined that Liu Xueqiang coveted the beauty of Iguchi Mariko and intended to molest her when she was rejected.
