The best route for a two-day tour of Hongcun, Mukeng Bamboo Sea, Jade Valley, and Huangshan in Yixian County, Anhui
At the end of December 2017, we drove to Yixian County, Anhui and spent two days visiting Hongcun, Mukeng Bamboo Sea, and I had a lot of fun visiting the four scenic spots of Emerald Valley and Huangshan Mountain. I will inform you of the tour route and fee and cost so that you can learn from it when visiting Huangshan in Yixian County:
The first night I drove to Hongcun, Yixian County. I stayed in a simple private hotel on the roadside outside for one night, which had air conditioning and hot water. The accommodation fee is 120 yuan.

On the first morning, we arrived at Hongcun Scenic Area. The ticket price was 52 yuan per person (half price for those aged 60-65). The Hongcun tour guide was free. Hongcun is an ancient Huizhou village. In ancient times, a complete water conservancy system was established. Open ditches and underground canals passed through every household. There is a bow-shaped lake in the south of Hongcun, called Nanhu. There are rows of white walls of Huizhou buildings beside the lake. The gray tiled houses echo the white clouds in the mountains in the distance, and the scenery is pleasant. It is a veritable water town in a painting. There is Nanhu Academy by the lake, which is very large. Nanhu Lake and Yuenuma Lake are one of the main attractions to visit. The second main attraction is the Three Carvings of Hui Style: stone carvings, wood carvings and bamboo carvings are most perfectly reflected in the architecture of Hongcun. The slightly better door has stone carvings on the house numbers and on the beams in the house. There are wood carvings, and the workmanship is very exquisite and delicate. After a half-day tour of Hongcun attractions in the morning, I drove to Huangshan and passed Mukeng Bamboo Sea Scenic Area in about 40 minutes. We turned in and visited, and the tickets were half price 15 yuan/ people. The green bamboo forest in Mukeng Bamboo Sea Scenic Area is very lush and surrounded by undulating mountains. At about 2 o'clock in the afternoon, we drove to the Tangkou Dongling Transfer Center at the foot of Huangshan Mountain (one of the intersections on Huangshan Mountain), and first found a hotel next to Tangkou Town to stay. There is air conditioning and hot water, and the accommodation fee is 100 yuan. After settling in, we drove for about half an hour to the third scenic spot, Emerald Valley, with half-price tickets of 45 yuan per person.
Emerald Valley is also called Lover's Valley. The canyon is about 6 kilometers long. You can go uphill by climbing steps and go downhill when you come back. It takes about 1.5 hours to go back and forth. In the canyon, you can see colorful pools of different shapes and sizes and different green colors, which look like emeralds scattered in the canyon, so it is called Emerald Valley. Emerald Valley is worth visiting.
In addition, there is another advantage to visiting Emerald Valley before going to Huangshan Mountain, because people who have not climbed mountains for a long time need to warm up. For climbing, you must prepare a walking stick (3 yuan/stick), a pair of gloves (1 yuan/pay) and light travel shoes. , it is best to prepare a raincoat in case it rains or snows on the mountain (5 yuan/piece). The car is parked in the hotel's free parking lot at night. If the car is parked in the Tangkou parking lot, the parking fee is 6 yuan/h, and the maximum parking fee is 60 yuan for 24 hours. The weather forecast for Huangshan the next day was rain in the morning, but we still went to Tangkou Dongling transfer point at 8 o'clock in the morning and bought tickets (half-price tickets 115 yuan per person) to go up Huangshan. First take the shuttle bus (19 yuan/person) from Dongling to the Yungu Cableway entrance, and then take the Yungu Cableway Car (65 yuan/person) to Bai'e New Station in about 30 minutes. Our walking route: Depart from Bai'e New Station - — Shixin Peak — Beihai Hotel — Tuanjie Pine — Baiyun Hotel — Feilaishi — Guangmingding — Yuping Cableway Exit, take the Yuping Cableway to Ciguang Pavilion (75 yuan/person), then take the shuttle bus for about Return to Tangkou Dongling Transfer Center around 2:30 pm (19 yuan/person).Due to bad weather, there was a heavy fog on the mountain, and there was a vast mist in front of us. Later, it started to snow heavily on the mountain. Unfortunately, we could only vaguely see some strange pines and rocks in the vicinity of Huangshan Mountain, but did not see the strange peaks in the distance. If you stay in Huangshan at night Last morning I wanted to see the sunrise and the sea of clouds, which are rare to see. I specifically asked about the accommodation fees in hotels on the mountain. During the New Year’s Day holiday, the prices have increased. The lowest price in Beihai Hotel is 1,600 yuan/standard room, and the lowest price in Baiyun Hotel is 2,100 yuan/standard room. The cost is on the high side. In fact, you can see all the basic attractions on a one-day trip to Huangshan. .
We tasted the special delicacies of the Huangshan region: sesame seed cakes with braised meat and vegetables, hairy tofu, and stinky mandarin fish. What left a wonderful taste for us was the stinky mandarin fish from Tangkou Town.
We visited Huangshan Mountain at the end of December. The temperature on the mountain was too low and we didn’t have much fun. The best time to visit Huangshan Mountain is from April to November every year.
