The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council grandly held the National Science and Technology Awards Conference in Beijing on the morning of the 8th. Party and state leaders such as Xi Jinping, Li Keqiang, Wang Huning and Han Zheng attended the meeting. Xi Jinping and others presented awards to the winning representatives. A total of 285 projects (candidates) were selected for the 2018 National Science and Technology Award. Among them——

  • national technological invention 67 awards, 4 first prizes and 63 second prizes;

  • 173 National Science and Technology Progress Awards, 2 special prizes, 23 first prizes (including 3 innovation teams), and second prizes 148 awards;

  • Awarded 5 foreign scientists the People's Republic of China International Science and Technology Cooperation Award.
