Palefire Studio is a British home furnishing brand that boldly challenges the minimalist aesthetics that are popular today. It designs in a gorgeous way, drawing on the spirit of Art Nouveau and abstract expressionism and medieval Venetian glass manufacturing. Through practical design, it creates interesting home items that coexist with appearance, practicality, and environmental protection.
brand founder Rowena Morgan-Cox studied 19th-century European painting and sculpture methods at The Courtauld Institute of Art. Rowena Morgan-Cox also has a unique personal taste. She combined the wild aesthetics of the Arts and Crafts movement with European modernist forms, giving her works a decorative art aesthetic from the late 19th to early 20th centuries.
As her first work, the U/V series is a set of modular sculpture lamps made of paper pulp. The design is inspired by the historical art and design movements that she is good at. The name of the
series is based on the U-shape and V-shape, using recycled paper pulp to directly make modular components, and then stack them in different ways to create lamps that can be stacked in various forms. The
module is produced in Barcelona, Spain, and hand-painted by Vanguard Court Studio in London, England, injecting a second vibrant life into it. They are produced only after receiving orders, ensuring that each lamp is unique; and hand-painting also helps reduce waste and extend the life of the product.
