My first house used radiators. Later, when I moved to a new house, in order to improve the indoor beauty and comfort, I spent money to install floor heating. Who would have thought that my family would still feel that radiators are better after experiencing it.
After asking about the reason, I realized that there are 4 aspects of floor heating that make them unbearable:
① Dry
Floor heating generates heat from the soles of the feet, and the heating comfort is indeed higher than that of radiators. However, if it is turned on for a long time, the indoor air will be very dry, and it will be very hot in the house. If necessary, you have to open the windows to let in some air. In order to increase the indoor humidity, I had to prepare a humidifier and turn it on every once in a while to relieve the dry indoor smell.
②Floating dust
The children at home are sensitive and always cough after turning on the floor heating. I wonder if the house is cleaned every day and the surface is very clean. What's going on? Later, I checked and found that this was because the floor heating was overheated, which dried the fine dust particles on the ground. Once they were light in size, they easily floated in the air along with the air flow. They were invisible to the naked eye, but they were very harmful to the human body.
③ Damaged furniture
Solid wood tables and chairs have cracks. Sometimes it is not necessarily a quality problem. It is probably caused by overheating of the floor heating, which causes the wood to dry quickly and causes cracks. After all, solid wood has not been processed and its performance is unstable. Therefore, if you install floor heating in your home, you should appropriately reduce the number of solid wood furniture to avoid unnecessary losses.
④ It is difficult for green plants to survive
Turning on floor heating in winter, the indoor temperature is high and the air humidity is low, the survival rate of green plants is lowered. Every time I see withered green plants, the old man feels distressed, and I feel helpless when I look at it. After all, it is cold outside, and it will definitely not work if the house does not have floor heating.
For young people, these problems are easy to solve, and there is no harm in using floor heating. However, children and the elderly have low acceptance of floor heating, so it is more suitable to use radiators. What do you think?
