Indoor air
The strictest standard in history is here
GB/T 18883-2022
Implementation date: February 1, 2023
"
If you want to understand indoor air quality, the most commonly used detection standard is:
GB/T 18883-2002 " indoor air quality standard "
Yes, you read it correctly, this is a 2002 standard...
often asks, why is it 2022, and we still have to use the 2002 standard? Isn't there any update?

"Indoor Air Quality Standards" Where is the strictness of
(-o⌒)✿
Close door and window time before detection
The closing time of doors and windows is very close to indoor air quality. Generally speaking, the longer the time to close doors and windows, the higher the indoor pollutant concentration, until the doors and windows are closed (24~48) reaches a basic equilibrium state.
The following lists three different door and window closing time requirements in the relevant standards:
uses natural ventilation, close doors and windows for 3 hours, and adopts a centralized ventilation system, and the ventilation system operates normally;
close doors and windows for 3 hours;
Close Door and Windows and Fresh air system at least
simply adds the word "at least" which not only reduces the difficulty of operation during commissioned testing, but also increases the time to close doors and windows, and increases the standard requirements. It really kills two birds with one stone
Whether to use air conditioner
Indoor temperature is also an important factor affecting indoor air quality. The higher the temperature, the higher the indoor pollutant concentration. Therefore, whether the temperature during the detection is close to the daily use temperature is an important prerequisite for whether the test results are of reference significance.
below lists three different air conditioner usage requirements in the relevant standards:
was not mentioned. In view of the applicable conditions of the standard (7 days after the renovation is completed, before delivery and use), the conventional operation method is not enabled;
was not mentioned, the conventional operation method is at the discretion of the owner;
clearly stipulates that the indoor environment of air conditioner should be used to keep the air conditioner running normally .
This regulation makes the detection environment as close to the daily use state as possible, and the detection results are more meaningful!
Other detection environmental conditions preparation
In order to ensure that the indoor air quality under the harshest conditions can be ensured that the indoor air quality will not endanger your health, the changed GB/T 18883-2022 standard also clarifies other detection environmental conditions requirements:
※ Before sampling, turn off the air purification equipment for at least 12 hours;
※ During sampling, the doors and windows, air purification equipment and fresh air systems are still closed;
limit value changes
The changed GB/T 18883-2022 standard limit value is more stringent than before. Taking the five parameters of the conventional
formaldehyde , benzene, toluene , xylene , TVOC as an example, it can be seen that the changed standard reduces the limit value of formaldehyde and benzene.
Although in terms of absolute value, some parameters have a slightly higher or equal value than GB 50325-2020, don’t forget that the standard value of GB/T 18883-2022 is aimed at the environment with longer closing doors and windows, more furniture, and the above-mentioned stricter requirements . Therefore, it is not an exaggeration to say that it is the strictest indoor air quality standard in history.
Warm reminder:
GB/T 18883-2022 is the recommended standard
, it is best to use it in the contract agreement (^_−)☆
