Hello everyone, I am Elder Tang. Recently, a meat friend asked: is a expensive spring rain? What are its characteristics?

I raised my own spring rain

succulent spring rain introduction:

Spring rain is one of the hybrid varieties of (primitive) Yahe Jin . Its leaves are slender, long and oval, with very flat front, and the back of the leaves is arc-shaped and protruding, with obvious dragon ridge lines. The front tip of the spring rain leaves has a long leaf tip. The plant shape is standard rosette. The whole plant is covered with a very thin layer of white frost. Usually its leaf color is cyan green (there are fine white spots when you look closely). In an environment with sufficient light and large temperature difference, the leaf tip and leaf edge will turn red.

Is spring rain expensive?

Spring Rain is a very unpopular succulent variety, and it has never been expensive - I bought a double-headed Spring Rain 5 years ago, and I remember that it only cost 5.9 yuan at that time. Although it is very rare for people to sell spring rain now, its price has not increased. I went to several major platforms to "stroll" and found that the cheapest single-head spring rain is 1.5 yuan, while more than a dozen people's spring rain are only sold for 18 yuan.

What are the characteristics of spring rain?

I have not eliminated it for 5 years, which shows that it is still a succulent variety worth maintaining, and has at least 4-5 advantages. If you don’t believe it, continue to watch me talk.

The first advantage is that it is easy to burst. Although (primitive) Yamato Kinabalu doesn't like to burst side buds, the spring rain obviously doesn't follow it - if we don't use the thumb pot to control it and give it a little more time, the spring rain will "huh" side buds, and then in about 2 years, it will directly grow a flower pot with a diameter of about 15 cm.

Spring rain is particularly easy to live in groups

The second advantage is that it is not easy to grow. As the descendant of (primitive) Yamato Jin, spring rain has inherited its characteristic of not being easy to grow taller. As long as we can expose and control our hands and not water them randomly, even if the light to maintain the environment is not particularly sufficient, spring rain will never grow short.

The third advantage is that it can raise big and thick legs. If we don’t want the spring rain to explode many side buds, but instead use small pots to control the cultivation since childhood, the spring rain will grow big and thick legs like carrots. In this way, even if we cannot raise it to a better state, the spring rain will be highly ornamental.

The fourth advantage is that you are not afraid of getting wet in the rain. The leaves of spring rain have no frost on the surface, so when it is exposed to the rain, it will not turn into a flowery face. At the same time, I have observed that it is not infected with powdery mildew, so I let it get wet for about 7-10 days. Only when it rains longer will I choose to hide it from the rain.

spring rain without fear of rain

The fifth advantage is that it is strong and easy to maintain. Everyone knows that the most difficult thing to raise "meat" is summer, but the spring rain I raise can be smooth every year. This summer, even if the high temperature of around 40℃ lasts for a month, the spring rain I put on the roof of the building is just shaded. Watering keeps the frequency of dry and watering thoroughly (the watering time is changed to 12 o'clock in the evening).

Spring rain, which is particularly easy to crowd,

Of course, spring rain not only has advantages, it also has disadvantages, and this disadvantage may cause many meat friends to directly exclude it from the list of purchases. What disadvantages can have such serious consequences? I think it is not easy to beautify it - I have been raising spring rain for 5 years, and when it is in its best condition, the tips, edges and backlines turn red, so I have moved it to the edge of the flower stand to develop freely. If you have not raised spring rain yet, you should consider it before buying.
