So my new home was made into a mixed paving of wood floors and ceramic tiles. As it turned out, my decision was wiser at that time. Now I can also answer the previous question: Why use ceramic tiles to lay them all over? There are three reasons.
[Reason 1] Low-priced ceramic tiles have more advantages
The total price of wooden floors and ceramic tiles is actually almost the same - the materials of wooden floors are cheap, but the labor costs are high; the materials of ceramic tiles are more expensive, but the labor costs will also be cheaper.
But I was poor when I decorated the house before I was poor and my budget was not that sufficient. Only cheaper testing can be chosen: Cheap tiles are better than cheaper wood floors.
Because cheap wooden floors are prone to breakage , the paint on the surface will fall off and even sunken. After using it for a long time, it is easy to have cracks and . If you buy inferior wooden floors, will also have the harm of formaldehyde .
tiles have no worries about this. At most, cheap tiles have a slightly worse glaze. Not that durable, not that good-looking. But it will never break itself like wooden floors, and there will be no health-threatening problems such as pollution.
[Reason 2] The tiled floor is more durable
When I decorated the house in front, I just graduated from college. At that time, there were many friends around me, and everyone was single and got together every now and then. At that time, I thought of:
There were three or five customers coming from the house at any time, and sometimes more than a dozen people came. I couldn't prepare more than a dozen pairs of slippers for them (to put it bluntly, I still have to spend the money, so I could only wear shoes to enter the house.
If you lay wooden floors in the room, because the surface of is relatively fragile , when you enter the house with outdoor shoes, you will definitely get scratches everywhere (high-quality wooden floors do not have this problem, but I can't afford such high-end products).
Another reason is that I was hurt by the wooden floor when I rented a house: On a rainy day, I forgot to close the bedroom window. At that time, my monthly salary was only more than 3,000 (during the internship), and I really felt distressed for a long time.
There will be various problems when the wooden floor encounters water , not only soaked in water will cause damage. My home now also uses wooden floors, and the quality is OK. But the wooden floor at the door of the bathroom still turned black because of the humidity. After asking about the floor after-sales service, he actually said it was a normal phenomenon.
[Reason 3] The cost of slewing is low and easy to manage
Most people choose to use ceramic tiles in public places such as living rooms and wooden floors in private rooms such as bedrooms. The tiles are more durable and suitable for living rooms where people come and go; the wooden floor feels more comfortable and suitable for bedrooms with requirements for comfort.
Then why didn’t I consider mixed paving at the beginning? To put it bluntly, it’s because of insufficient budget!
says that the cost of laying ceramic tiles and laying wooden floors is similar, but the price of laying ceramic tiles and wooden floors at the same time is higher. On the one hand, the amount of paving for each building material is relatively small, resulting in a higher unit price; on the other hand, it is necessary to use threshold stone at the junction of ceramic tiles and wooden floors, and the price of stone is much higher than that of ceramic tiles and wooden floors.
In addition, in terms of management, the bunk is also more advantageous. The house I live in now was made into a mixed paving. You will encounter two problems:
1. The cleaner cannot be mixed, tile cleaner and wooden floor cleaner are different. tiles have higher requirements for cleaning capabilities, while wooden floors need to be maintained for wood and paint. It’s really troublesome to mop the floor once on a whim, and you have to change the detergent in the middle and wash the mop again!
2. The joints between wooden floors and ceramic tiles are generally not made into flat, and the wooden floors will be slightly lower. When using a sweeping robot, the robot can go down the steps, but cannot go up the steps. So I bought a sweeping robot to save trouble, but I was often trapped. I still have to remember to rescue it, which did not show any trouble saving.
