This European standard specifies test methods and minimum requirements for the bactericidal activity of chemical disinfectants and antiseptics that are used in contact with hard water or ( Ready-to-use product) forms a homogeneous, physically stable formulation when diluted with water. Products can only be tested at a concentration of 80% or less, as there is always some dilution caused by the addition of test microorganisms and interfering substances.
This document applies to products for use in the food, industrial, domestic and institutional areas, excluding the disinfection of food and medical indications, and does not include products for living tissue, except for products used for hand hygiene in the above areas.
