September 9, 2016 marks the 40th anniversary of the death of the great leader Chairman Mao. It was not dawn every day, and the team in front of Chairman Mao’s Memorial Hall was already out of sight.

Many people in the team came to Beijing from other places to mourn Chairman Mao. Many people came from afar and walked thousands of kilometers away. They were covered in dust and dust, but they did not forget to bring a bouquet of flowers to Chairman Mao.

People in the team, whether they are octogenarians or young children, consciously abide by order. There is no one laughing and playing, and it lined up from the door of the memorial hall to the open space outside. Because people stood spontaneously, they seemed particularly solemn. However, the admirers who consciously abide by the rules are still much more scattered than the People's Liberation Army guarding the various parts of the memorial hall.

All everywhere in the memorial hall square, the PLA soldiers standing with guns are always the most serious people here. Although it was just dawn, the soldiers guarding here had already cleaned their appearance and shouldered the important task of guarding safety and maintaining order.

I saw the rising sun shining with a faint red light, shining on the soldiers in military uniforms through thin clouds, and even the shadows reflected were straight and majestic.

However, the people in the long queue couldn't help but have doubts. As we all know, the safety of important organs or leaders is guarded by the armed police. Why are the PLA soldiers standing with guns in front of Chairman Mao’s memorial hall?

Own armed forces: The regime comes out of the gun

Speaking of why PLA soldiers are guarding with guns in front of Chairman Mao’s memorial hall, we must start with the birth of the PLA.

The first half of the last century was a humiliating history for the Chinese nation. At that time, invaders from various countries were eyeing each other abroad, and feudal forces were at work and warlords were fighting in the melee. There is no hope for the future of the nation in the whole country, and it is dim.

It is also under such circumstances that a group of knowledgeable and ideal young people have risen, and our great leader Comrade Mao Zedong was once a member of these young people. At that time, Mao Zedong was constantly studying and making friends, and established the lofty ideal of saving the country and the people.

1918, Mao Zedong, who had just graduated, went north to Beijing at the invitation of his mentor Mr. Yang Changji. Then I met thinkers and revolutionaries such as Chen Duxiu and Li Dazhao at Peking University . Mao Zedong also began his decades of revolutionary career.

From raising his arms and shouting on the long street, to the establishment of " Xiangjiang Commentary ", the formation of the early communist team in Hunan, and to the later establishment of the party and the establishment of the pillar, Mao Zedong was indispensable. Revolutionary comrades from all over the world never care about their own interests, but do their best and seek out the best, just for the future of the Chinese nation!

1 The Third Congress of the Communist Party of China was held in June 1923. Under the comprehensive evaluation within the party, it was decided to carry out cooperation between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party . The decision of accelerated the process of the Chinese revolution, thus bringing about the vigorous revolution .

At that time, most of the early members of the Communist Party of China, including Mao Zedong, were immersed in the vigorous revolutionary atmosphere, and were completely unaware of the importance of independent mastery of armed forces. Until 927, the first cooperation between of the Kuomintang and the Communist Party broke down.

When the revolution was in full swing, no one would have thought that the right-wing forces of the Kuomintang dared to publicly betray the revolution in the later period of the Great Revolution!

In April and July 1927, in the two consecutive counter-revolutionary coups, reactionary forces took advantage of the convenient conditions of intra-party cooperation to massacre Communist Party members. Chinese Communist Party , which is not strong, has become weaker.

Bloody and violent killings inexplicably started, which inevitably aroused the brave and fearless Communists' struggle to resist! At the same time, some comrades in the party also realized that if the original line of founding the party was not changed, the future of the Communist Party of China would be bleak.

So on August 1, 1927, Nanchang Uprising broke out!

This uprising started as a rebellion against the Kuomintang, with the purpose of preserving the vital strength of the Communist Party of China. It is also the first attempt of the Communist Party of China to independently lead the armed struggle .

Facts have proved that this attempt was correct, not only succeeded at that time, but also laid a solid foundation for our later creation of the revolutionary army led by us .

In the following days, the rebel army decided to seize the opportunity to withdraw from Jiangxi after careful consideration. came to Hankou, Hubei along the way, and then held the famous "87 Conference ". It was at this meeting that Mao Zedong made the conclusion that "the power comes from the gun" with lofty strategic vision and great political courage. Since then, the Party’s military construction has been taken seriously, and Mao Zedong has formed an indissoluble bond with the People’s Army.

Mao Zedong gradually established his voice within the party and the army with his strong military command skills. History has also proved that Mao Zedong was a great leader in politics, ideology and military, leading the Chinese people to forge the future of the Chinese nation.

Then Mao Zedong and others led the Autumn Harvest Uprising on the Hunan-Jiangxi border, which complemented Ye Ting, Ye Jianying and others' Guangzhou Uprising . After these three banners, the Communist Party of China finally has its own army!

1 In April 928, several teams of Mao Zedong and Zhu De, Chen Yi , He Long and others successfully met in Jinggangshan . At this time, the army was officially named Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army . Although the Red Army has experienced several anti-encirclement and suppression and the Long March, and has struggled to survive in the cracks, with Chairman Mao’s correct command, our army has survived the most difficult period.

Until the outbreak of the War of Resistance Against Japan in 1937, the second cooperation between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party began. The main force of the Red Army in northern Shaanxi was adapted into the Eighth Route Army of the National Revolutionary Army, referred to as Eighth Route Army . The guerrillas in the eight southern provinces were adapted into the newly formed Fourth Army of the National Revolutionary Army, which is the so-called New Fourth Army .

After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, the domestic Liberation War broke out. The Eighth Route Army and the New Fourth Army were thus renamed the Chinese People's Liberation Army. After the Kuomintang retreated to Taiwan, there was no war in the founding of New China and the number of the People's Liberation Army of China was used here.

Whether it is the several anti-encirclement and suppression of the Red Army, the progress of the Great Long March, or even the development of the Anti-Japanese War and the War of Liberation, our precious victory after repeated failures cannot be separated from the correct command of Comrade Mao Zedong.

, especially , which is still regarded as a classic case in military history until now, , the Four Crossings of Chishui . Today, decades later, it is difficult to reproduce that great victory after repeated simulations.

How did Comrade Mao Zedong lead our team to retreat while fighting and relocate the enemy while making strategic transfers, and also make full preparations for the fourth crossing of Chishui in the first three critical crossings. This can only be seen through the subsequent sand table drills and map simulations.

So after such a leader who is like a god, in front of the Chairman Mao Memorial Hall established to commemorate him, should be guarded by soldiers of the Chinese People's Liberation Army with guns.

Let the Chairman lie in the crystal coffin and see the heroic soldiers at all times. We believe this is the best comfort for the Chairman's heroic spirit.

In today's view, it seems that retaining Comrade Mao Zedong's body for future generations to admire is Chairman Mao's best arrangement for his affairs. However, after Chairman Mao passed away suddenly in 976, the issue of Chairman Mao’s death was finally determined after repeated discussions by our party.

The great man was asleep, alas

976 in the early morning of September 9, 1976, Chairman Mao passed away in Beijing at the age of 83. Chairman Mao’s life was brilliant. In the years when the Chinese nation was in a shattered and miserable period, it was him who led the Chinese people to fight a way out from the encirclement and suppression of all enemies.

When the country announced Chairman Mao’s obituary, the whole country was filled with grief. At the same time, the news of Chairman Mao’s death has also received due attention from the international community. Not only North Korea, Pakistan, , , India and other 55 countries were lowered at half-standard as soon as possible, but even the United Nations also mourned Chairman Mao’s death at half-standard.

Everyone knows that life and death are constant, and birth, old age, sickness and death are always natural laws that are difficult for human power to change. So the grief gradually accepted the fact that Chairman Mao passed away, but still hoped to do something for Chairman Mao.

Therefore, the issue of Chairman Mao’s aftermath has attracted widespread attention from people from all walks of life at home and abroad.

In fact, as early as 1956, at a meeting of Huairen Hall in Zhongnanhai, Chairman Mao advocated "All people are cremated behind, leaving no bodies, and no graves are built."

Then, after Marshal Luo Ronghuan, Premier Zhou Enlai, and Marshal Zhu De passed away, Chairman Mao made brief arrangements behind him. So if you follow the last wish of Chairman , then everything should be kept simple and let him return to the river after cremation.

Chairman Mao devoted most of his life to the country and had little time to visit the great rivers and mountains. So he wanted to follow the flowing water behind him and take a good look at the country and the people who live and work in peace and contentment with the fish.

However, it is difficult for the party to unanimously agree to obey the Chairman's last wish. Some people believe that the Chairman's opinions should be respected and his final hope should be met. However, there are also many opponents.

In China's thousands of years of concept of life and death, people should be buried in peace after death and retain their complete body to reincarnate smoothly. If the Chairman's body is cremated, even if it is in compliance with the Chairman's last wish, the general public may find it difficult to accept it.

There were constant debates and it was difficult to unify. Finally, the national leaders at that time proposed that protect the body first, and should arrange an imminent memorial ceremony at present. As for the issue of body handling, a decision will be made after extensive consultation.

Finally, after extensive research and careful consideration, the Party Central Committee unanimously agreed that was Chairman Mao’s lifelong hard work and led the Chinese people to create an opportunity for the Chinese nation to rise again.

After the discussion, the whole party unanimously agreed with Chairman Mao's body " Rivers, lakes and seas cannot accommodate, and the three mountains and five mountains cannot support ", so Chairman Mao's body should be kept in a crystal coffin for the Chinese people to pay homage.

976 September 18, for the people, it was a painful day because a memorial service for Chairman Mao was held on that day. Millions of people came to Beijing from all over the world. Before they could wash away the dust, they gathered at Tiananmen Square for the last trip to send the chairman.

Comrade Hua Guofeng stood on the Tiananmen Gate Tower, suppressing his inner grief, and endured his sobs and read out his eulogy. More people on the scene couldn't help but feel sad, and tears fell on the spot, and thousands of people even fainted from crying.

After the memorial service, the establishment of Chairman Mao Memorial Hall was put on the agenda. There are more than 40 architects and art workers involved in the design of Memorial Hall , all skilled craftsmen from all over the country. They discuss and modify the design plan of Chairman Mao Memorial Hall day and night.

In less than half a month, more than 30 solutions have been formed. Due to lack of experience and reference, most of these plans are modeled on the style of ancient emperors’ tombs.

has high specifications, beautiful design, and good materials, but it requires large-scale construction, which is completely incompatible with the thrift style that Comrade Mao Zedong has always advocated.

Comrade Mao Zedong is a great leader of our country's proletariat and must draw a clear line with the feudal rulers. Therefore, the design concept of Chairman Mao's Memorial Hall needs to be overturned and corrected.

In other words, none of these thirty plans have passed, and all of them must be pushed back and started over.

Another month has passed, and as architectural designers from all over the country are busy designing and polishing, the central government has received more than 600 design plans. After layers of screening, the final plan was determined.

1976, the groundbreaking ceremony of Chairman Mao Memorial Hall was successfully held in Tiananmen Square. The inauguration ceremony was held on September 9 of the following year and opened to the public.

At that time, our country's national strength could not be compared with the present, so the successful completion of the memorial hall in just one year is inseparable from the strong support of the general public, and many people spontaneously joined the construction team.

Although the Chairman Mao Memorial Hall was completed in a few months, the main building is solid and solid, and the interior is exquisite and meticulous. It can be said that this is the highest-standard personal memorial hall built after the founding of the People's Republic of China. From this perspective, the People's Liberation Army, the highest-level guard team in our country, should be guarded by the People's Liberation Army, in person.

At the same time, because of Chairman Mao’s great contribution to the Chinese nation, people at that time had expected that the Chinese people would never forget Chairman Mao. Only PLA soldiers can better ensure the safety of Chairman Mao’s body and maintain order in front of the memorial hall.

For more than 40 years, I miss you for not having been

From September 9, 2022, it has been the 46th anniversary of Comrade Mao Zedong's death. In these forty-six years, we have never forgotten Chairman Mao’s outstanding contributions and great leadership.

every year html and 26 December 4. The team in front of Chairman Mao’s memorial hall is always particularly long, and they are all those who come to commemorate the Chairman , because these are Chairman Mao’s death and birthday respectively.

Even in normal times, tourists often visit the Chairman Mao Memorial Hall. This is not only to pay tribute to the Chairman's remains, but also to understand the extraordinary history of the Chinese nation from the Chairman's magnificent life.

Of course, there are some special figures among the people visiting the Memorial Hall . Sometimes, an old man with a hairy head stood in front of the crystal coffin and looked at the body of the chairman, accompanied by his relatives. These people attracted the attention of the People's Liberation Army posts around them, and it was absolutely necessary to be careless about the Chairman's body.

However, after careful inquiry, I found that these people had too deep feelings for Chairman Mao, so I cherished the time I went to see Chairman Mao every time and wanted to see the Chairman more. 83-year-old veteran Feng Xiaotong is one of them.

On the morning of November 17, 2013, Chairman Mao’s former guard Feng Xiaotong came to Beijing again after leaving Beijing for 55 years. This time he came to fulfill his wish to commemorate Chairman Mao.

Feng’s hometown is in Xinhua, Hunan, and it is more than 1,000 kilometers away from Beijing. This journey is not suitable for 80-year-olds. But in order to fulfill the old man's wish, his family and the local government could only strongly support him, allowing Mr. Feng to arrive in Beijing smoothly, realizing his long-cherished wish to visit the chairman in the memorial hall.

Feng Lao was happy and excited when he first arrived at Beijing City . That was the joy that he had been looking forward to it for more than fifty years. But accompanied by the staff, he became more and more silent after entering the memorial hall.

Especially when he saw the body placed in the crystal coffin covered with the party flag, he could no longer help but feel sad. He could only vaguely shout "Chairman, Chairman..."

The staff and guards around him were moved to the point of seeing this, and his family was even more worried about Feng Lao's physical condition. His emotions gradually stabilized after everyone comforted him.

Feng Lao's appearance was solemn and bowed three times to the Chairman's body. Then Mr. Feng tried hard to stand up straight with his hunched body, his wrinkled hands to pay a standard military salute to Chairman Mao before leaving the memorial hall.

Similarly, as the former captain of the Chairman Mao Memorial Hall, Dong Jinsheng worked diligently when he was in office, and regarded the safety of the memorial hall as a glorious mission, and did not dare to be careless.

After being transferred from the memorial hall, he always regarded guarding the Chairman Mao Memorial Hall as the highlight of his life.

To this day, Dong Jinsheng often talks with relatives, friends and descendants about the days when he was young when he was performing guard tasks in Chairman Mao’s Memorial Hall. When he talks about emotions, his eyes will even turn red and his tone will be choked. From this we can see how deep his emotions are about here.

More people actually have no chance to meet Chairman Mao, and they even have no chance to go to Chairman Mao Memorial Hall on the south side of Tiananmen Square in Beijing to pay homage to Chairman Mao, but these people will not be unaware of Chairman Mao’s great contributions.

From the popular "Our Leader Chairman Mao" and "Oriental Red" and other songs, to the Mao general course that college students must learn now, to the "Selected Works of Mao Zedong" , which has been popular for many years, these can make people across the country and even the world remember Chairman Mao's contributions.

The lofty ideals that Chairman Mao has established since his youth have become increasingly tenacious in the difficulties and hardships. Therefore, he can lead the People's Army to fight off the invaders and win civil wars, and can also lead our country to independence and liberation from the storm.

It is also because of this that the President Mao’s memorial hall must be personally stationed by PLA soldiers, so that the Chairman can rest safely.

The old saying goes: "A person's death is lighter than a feather, or heavier than Taishan ." So more than 40 years later, there can still be long queues in front of Chairman Mao's memorial hall, and the People's Liberation Army guarding the memorial hall still regards this task as a glorious mission in his life.

The same , Chairman Mao is still the great leader of New China in our hearts, and the great Mao Zedong Thought will never be erased!
