Let the original intention pass on from generation to generation and shoulder the mission forever.
—Xi Jinping
Night fell, and a "gunshot" suddenly came outside Zhou Mansion, No. 73 Sinan Road. In Zhou Gongguan , "Zhou Enlai" held bloody glasses and said seriously at the numerous "reporters": "Look at it, this is what the Kuomintang calls sincerity. How can such a political party lead the people to a bright future?"
This is a scene in the real-life immersive drama "Gullshots on Sinan Road - Moving towards the Light" launched by The First National Congress of the Communist Party of China last year. The drama presents the scene of Zhou Enlai held a press conference at Zhou Gongguan during the 1946 Kuomintang-Communist negotiations, revealing the scene of the Kuomintang's conspiracy of "fake peace talks and real civil war". The actor Ma Weijia, who plays Zhou Enlai, is actually a staff member of the Memorial Hall of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China.
's novel form has attracted many young audiences to enter the Memorial Hall of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China to experience the charm of red culture. In addition to the site of the First Congress of the Communist Party of China, there are also a large number of red old sites in the streets and alleys of Shanghai. In recent years, Shanghai has continuously explored various red resources, innovated red missionary forms, told the red story of the birthplace of the Party, and audiences from all over the world have come to the field to appreciate their original aspirations and missions and draw spiritual strength.
"Some lines are 'grown'"
Although his figure is not as thin as Premier Zhou and has a round face, when Ma Weijia slightly bent her right arm and said with a Huaian accent, "The Communist Party of China and the people will always stand together", the audience can still feel that history and reality seem to be integrated. But for Ma Weijia, who is in her 30s, playing Zhou Enlai is still a big challenge, because the audience's first requirement is "like". "In addition to losing weight and dressing, and trying to be 'similar' as much as possible, I also need to find the rhythm of his speech, integrate it into my own words, and be 'similar'." In order to imitate more like it, Ma Weijia reads a lot of historical materials from that year, because "only by having a deep understanding of that history can you feel the various emotions of the great man back then."
Historically, in May 1946, Zhou Enlai led a delegation of the Communist Party of China to Nanjing for negotiations with the Kuomintang. In June, the delegation decided to set up an office in Shanghai. This inconspicuous small building on Sinan Road became Zhou Mansion. Zhou Enlai used this as a "base" and carried out a series of important tasks under difficult and dangerous conditions, expanding the influence of the Communist Party of China and developing a patriotic and democratic united front.
There was another "city-crowded" - there was an unused leather shoe repair stall on the road, and tricycles that were not solicited by three or three, cigarette vendors, head shaving pickups, and fortune tellers were also wandering in front of the door. The Shanghai Women and Children Hospital across the road became the stronghold for the Kuomintang spies to monitor Zhou Gongguan.
Now in the exhibition hall, the most frequently told stories of "surveillance" and "anti-surveillance" by the tour guide and audience are also stories of "Zhou Enlai's car's 'birth tail'" and "flower pots on the balcony of Zhou Mansion". Even in such a sinister environment, members of the Communist Party of China delegation were always calm and insisted on running for peace and democracy.
, these historical details of that year are presented one by one by one by the drama today. On the basis of respecting history, the main creators also artistically recreated the plot, striving to be more infectious.
"There are some lines in the play that they 'grown' themselves." Ma Weijia gave an example and said that in the script, Zhou Enlai had a sentence, "There are representatives of the industry and business community who are here today. Why can't we take out some rice, flour, grain and oil in your warehouse for the people? If you do this, the people will always remember you." It is impossible to verify whether Zhou Enlai said this back then, but Ma Weijia believed that many ordinary people were still not full at that time. "I think a person like Zhou Enlai who understands the sufferings of the people must want to 'hold an umbrella' for the people."
's careful creation and performance achieved remarkable results. Some viewers found Ma Weijia after the show ended and said that when he saw "Prime Minister Zhou" appear from the terrace, tears couldn't help but flow out. Ma Weijia said that this was his most satisfying moment."You can hear Premier Zhou saying, 'Fight for true democracy and peace to the end'. Hold his hand, comrade, let's fight together! Let's go for a bright future together, and you will be very excited."
Feel the power of traveling through time and space
Ma Weijia is a native of Shanghai. At the beginning, he imitated Zhou Enlai's speech in Mandarin , and felt that it was not real enough and wanted to join Huai'an dialect. Coincidentally, his wife is from Huai'an. When rehearsing at home, her wife often gives him many revisions. Ma Weijia smiled and said, "Please carefully and have requirements for every move. It cannot destroy the majestic image of the 'male god' in her heart." Behind the high requirements are hard work that the audience cannot understand. At 6 o'clock in the evening, after getting off work from a major memorial hall, Ma Weijia put on her performance costume and "worked" in Zhou Gongguan. After two scenes, it was almost 10 o'clock. After handling the work for a while, it was too late to go home.
However, his wife, who is also a communicator of red culture, understands him very much. The couple is connected by spreading red culture. In 2013, Ma Weijia was transferred to work at Zhou Gongguan under the jurisdiction of a major memorial hall. His wife was the tour guide of Zhou Gongguan at that time, and the two met and got to know each other in Zhou Gongguan. Later, his wife was transferred to work at the Memorial Hall of the Second Congress of the Communist Party of China. Although she was busier, the couple felt that the job was of great significance.
"My home is in Shanghai. Shanghai is the birthplace of the Party. In a sense, Shanghai is also the home of the Party. I feel very honored to be able to work and live in the birthplace of the Party. Telling the red story of the birthplace of the Party is the mission of our generation."
"new changes" have taken place in the audience
2008, after graduating from Xie Jin Film and Television Art College of Shanghai Normal University (now the School of Film and Television Media of Shanghai Normal University), by chance, Ma Weijia entered the memorial hall of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China.
Ma Weijia’s first identity in the memorial hall was the tour guide. He admitted that telling stories about party history in venues is completely different from those in tourist attractions, because party history cannot be played at will. How to express a novelty in a period of history that has been repeatedly verified is a test of the personal level of the tour guide. It not only requires solid basic skills, but also requires very familiarity with history.
"If there were ten audiences at the beginning and only one left behind, it would definitely not be the audience's problem, it was because you didn't speak well." At that time, there were many excellent female tour guides in the museum, but not many male tour guides. Ma Weijia held back her energy and worked hard to study history, from the typewriter used by Li Dazhao to the " Communist Manifesto " translated by Chen Wangdao, read the details one by one, and transformed them into vivid explanations.
Now, the red cultural mission of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China is becoming more and more mature and perfect, and there are many innovations in form. Since 2016, the missionary team has tried to develop situational party classes for young party members, cadres and the masses. They are written, directed and acted by the staff of the memorial hall, and later developed situational dramas one after another. So far, Ma Weijia has participated in more than 20 various performances, playing historical figures such as Chen Duxiu and Peng Dehuai.
In recent years, the number of visits to the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China has increased explosively. In Ma Weijia's impression, the audience group also has "new changes". First, there are more and more young audiences coming from other places, and second, there are more and more foreign politicians and senior executives of foreign companies. The guests not only include Cambodia King Sihamoni , but also visitors from the United States, Thailand, Singapore , Philippines , South Korea, Israel , France, Japan and other countries, as well as many foreigners working and living in Shanghai. They not only love China, but also are curious about the story of the Communist Party of China leading the Chinese people to work tirelessly.
The most impressive thing about him was in August this year, when a well-known British expert visiting in Shanghai proposed to visit the Memorial Hall of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China. Ma Weijia, who was in charge of the reception, remembered that this expert could speak fluent Chinese, carefully read the instructions of each exhibit along the way, and occasionally sighed, "China is really great."

Let the heavy red culture shine among young people
Ma Weijia is not only a staff member of the Memorial Hall of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China, but also the actor of Zhou Enlai in the drama "The Gunshots on Sinan Road - Moving Forward to the Light". Ma Weijia and others cleverly used the Zhou Gongguan on Sinan Road to create immersive drama reviews and praise Zhou Enlai's life and deeds and noble style. This is a microcosm of Shanghai's efforts to build a highland for red culture communication.
General Secretary Xi Jinping emphasized: "We must tell the story of the Party, the story of the revolution, and the story of heroes well, and pass on the red gene to ensure that the red country has successors and pass on from generation to generation." Shanghai is the birthplace and origin of the Party's original intention. It is also the long-term station of the Party Central Committee after the founding of the Party, an important base for socialist construction, and a frontier position in reform and opening up. In the century-long journey, it has formed rich red resources and accumulated a deep red heritage. The red gene has been deeply integrated into the blood of the city.
Make good use of red resources and inherit the red gene well. The key is to use the word "live". Only by activating red resources and making red history lively can the red bloodlines jump, and the red genes can pass on from generation to generation and never change color. In this process, we need to continuously enrich the way of red culture spread, analyze the psychological needs and cognitive characteristics of the younger generation, avoid the same and according to the script, and use flexible and close means to let the heavy red culture shine among young people, use the language of young people to tell stories to young people, inspire the emotional resonance of the younger generation of , and then enable them to receive education and become a weathered person.
In recent years, Shanghai has deeply promoted the publicity project of the birthplace of the Party. On the basis of understanding the "red family background" and protecting red resources, it has continuously innovated communication methods, enriched forms and carriers, and deeply explored the stories in resources, details in stories, and spirit in details, so that the deep history can be given "wings" and entered the hearts of more people. With the renovation and opening of a number of revolutionary sites, the functions of exhibitions and exhibitions have been improved, a number of activity projects have been vigorously carried out, a number of literary and artistic works have been deeply rooted in the hearts of the people, and the red cultural brand in the city's bloodline has become increasingly brighter and shining forever.
