In December 1982, a cry of hoarseness came from a tube building in Beijing: "Auntie, wake up! Why did you leave like this!" I saw an old woman who had just passed away lying on the bed of a small house of more than ten square meters. She had short hair and neatly dressed. The only thing she had accompanied her was her favorite doll...

43, she has been despised and abused for 10 years. The suffering of ten years of prison was finally revealed in March 1982, but why did she leave so resolutely? !

01 The dusty talented woman

Her name is Guanlu , and she is as famous as Zhang Ailing and Ding Ling during the Republic of China period. She translated the prose poem " Haiyan " by Gorky : "In the vast sea, the strong wind swept with dark clouds..."

The theme song "Spring" of the movie "Cross Street" was written by her. The singer Fei Yuqing sang this song many times as a classic relic: "The fragrance of flowers comes in spring, and Langligelangrigelang..."

She once used the pen as a sword to be active on the stage of anti-Japanese propaganda. Her famous battle line "I would rather die for the motherland than be a vassal of the nation" was widely spread by the people and she was once called the "wife of the nation". So, why were he called a "cultural traitor" later?

Guan Lu's original name is Hu Shoumei. She was born in Youyu County, Shanxi in 1907. Her father was once a juren and an official. When she was 15 years old, her parents both died, and she took her sister Hu Xiufeng to join her second aunt. The second aunt hoped that she would get married early, so Guan Lu had to escape to Shanghai with her sister.

In Shanghai, the two sisters met the noble man Liu Daoheng and were sponsored to go to school. She has studied at Shanghai Law School and Nanjing Central University . After graduation, she published her works under the name of "Guan Lu". The novel "Her Hometown" is her debut work.

She is very talented, both creating and translating, and her poems and novels are especially loved by readers. After the " Songhu War " in 1932, she actively participated in the anti-Japanese movement, joined the Left League , and joined the party.

She has created many inspiring literary works, and her "Hometown, I Can't Let You Dead" has made the Chinese people's fighting spirit high. Ding Ling admired her very much and said that her poems were made with care.

1936, Guan Lu's collection of poems "Singing in the Pacific Ocean" was published. Her passion and talent are obvious to all. "Spring" was also at this time, with the movie starring Zhao Dan and , spreading all over the streets and alleys.

In 1937, Guan Lu met Wang Bingnan who was willing to entrust his life to his life. However, the two young men who were in love focused on the cause of the Party and retained commemorations from each other, so they went to their own combat positions.

02 Excellent red agent

In the autumn of 1939, Guan Lu received a secret telegram signed by Ye Jianying, asking her to go to Hong Kong to accept the mission. Liao Chengzhi, then director of the Eighth Route Army Hong Kong Office, and Pan Hannian, who was in charge of intelligence, secretly met her. The task they gave her was to invade the headquarters of the secret agent 76 of the Wang Puppet Regiment and instigate the spy leader Li Shiqun .

It turned out that when Li Shiqun was arrested and imprisoned, it was Guan Lu's sister who took care of Li Shiqun's wife Ye Jiqing. Because of this connection, the organization felt that Pai Guanlu was the most suitable candidate for entering the other party.

Guanlu accepted the task. Pan Hannian instructed: "No matter who says you are a traitor in the future, you cannot defend yourself!" Guan Lu replied solemnly: "I know, I won't defend!"

From then on, Guan Lu can be seen accompanying Ye Jiqing in high-end places and prosperous places in Shanghai. This made the comrades in the party extremely indignant, and they hated Guan Lu's behavior very much. But in order to complete the task, Guan Lu must remain silent.

Her work has been done quite well. In order to leave a way out for himself, Li Shiqun finally agreed to hold talks with Pan Han annual one day in February 1942. From then on, many of the Japanese army's action plans were controlled by our army.

Guan Lu, who successfully completed the task, applied to the organization: "I want to go to my parents, but I wonder if my parents agree?" But the organization replied: "My parents don't agree to you coming back, you are still in Shanghai." The one here says "My parents" is the Yan'an base, but the organization did not ask her to return.

Because she has a new task, she wants to enter the "Female Voice" publication run by the Japanese, and take advantage of her position to get as close to the leftists in Japan as possible to obtain more information.

1943, Guan Lu was invited to attend the "Greater East Asian Literature Representative Meeting" held in Tokyo, and the organization believed that this was a good opportunity. But now her behavior and photos were published in the newspaper, and then curses came overwhelmingly, saying that she was "a shameless female writer who grew up under deformity", and that she was labeled as a "cultural traitor" by the Chinese people.

Once, Lu Xun's wife Xu Guangping met Guan Lu on the street, and she was like avoiding the "plague god". All this made Guan Lu unable to speak and miserable.

In fact, when Guan Lu arrived in Japan, she also completed the task of sending her letter to her by our party, helping the Japanese left-wing party members in China to restore contact with her headquarters.

Guan Lu felt too wronged. She couldn't stand the cold eyes of her comrades, but after crying, she still reminded herself of her former promise: "I won't defend!"

On August 15, 1945, Japan surrendered unconditionally, and the whole country was happy, but Guan Lu's name was blacklisted by National Government . With the timely arrangement of the organization, Guan Lu was finally safely transferred to the Huaiyin New Fourth Army Base.

Anti-Japanese War finally won. Guan Lu waited for Wang Bingnan's arrival with joy and the arrival of the beautiful moment agreed upon by the two. However, the purge movement began, Guan Lu was quarantined and censored, and no one could believe her statement.

A bigger blow followed one after another. Wang Bingnan sent her a letter of breaking up with the relationship, saying that he was engaged in foreign affairs and was negotiating with the National Government. The organization believed that Guan Lu's special experience had caused a very bad impact on society. If the two got married, it would be detrimental to his work and could only bear the pain of giving up.

Guan Lu just felt dizzy. She looked at the photo Wang Bingnan gave her many years ago, and the back read "You care about me for a while, I care about you for a lifetime", and she collapsed! Her consciousness was once abnormal. In the coldest days, she brought a basin of cold water to pour it on her head, laughing and saying, "It's so cool."

Later, with the help of her sister Hu Xiufeng and the base area liaison minister, she collected a lot of supporting materials, and the review of Guan Lu was finally over. After a long period of rest, Guan Lu gradually got out of the haze. However, the suffering that fate has given Guan Lu seems far from over.

03 The suffering of wronged and wronged

In January 1949, Peiping was liberated. Under Liao Chengzhi's certificate, Guan Lu was arranged to work at Beijing North China University (now Renmin University of China ).

Wang Bingnan also arrived in Beijing at this time. Guan Lu went to find him, and Wang Bingnan said with emotion: "Forget the past, New China is waiting for us to build!" Guan Lu said: "The green mountains will not change, and the green water will flow! From now on, if you die, I will not come to you."

Guan Lu devoted herself to her work. In 1951, she wrote the novel "Apple Garden", which was later asked to adapt into a movie script, so she actively entered the creative state again. But not long after the peaceful days, Pan Hannian was arrested.

It was in 1955, and Guan Lu was implicated and arrested and imprisoned. She was mentally stimulated again for two years in Gongdelin Prison and often lay stupidly on the cold ground. Her joints all over her body had problems in the past two years.

1957 Guan Lu was released from prison. She was weak and no longer had strong work energy, nor did she reproduce her works. The organization decided to let her retire and recuperate. This year, she was just fifty years old. However, in 1967, the movement that swept the whole country made the sixty-year-old Guan Lu go to prison again. This level was another eight years!

In 1975, Guan Lu was finally released from prison. The hardships of life made Guan Lu more and more silent, but a fire burned in her heart. She wanted to pick up the pen again, and she wanted to take back the passing time.

KA stroke in 1980 completely collapsed her body, and all her wishes were vain. Her whole body was in pain and she couldn't hold the pen. The doctor said that her pain was not entirely physical, but mainly from her heart.

1982 On March 23, 1982, a person from the Organization Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China read out the decision to Guan Lu on the hospital bed. The reputation that had been carrying 43 years of being criticized was finally clarified! Guan Lu lay quietly, only her lips trembled violently.

In September 1982, Ding Ling came to see her, and the two met and cried bitterly. When Guan Lu learned that Pan Hannian was also excused, she said excitedly: "I wanted to die several times after the stroke, but when I thought that Hannian's case had not been clarified, I had to live. I had to wait for Hannian until this day!"

December 5, 1982, the cold wind was biting. Guan Lu sent Xiao Jin, who was taking care of her life, endured the severe pain, put on her clothes tremblingly, combed her gray hair neatly, and quietly swallowed 2 bottles of sleeping pills...

04 ending

For the founding of New China, I don’t know how many “Guan Lu” struggled on the secret front; how many “Guan Lu” endured great grievances in loneliness, but put righteousness first; how many “Guan Lu” gave up her personal happiness and sacrificed her blood for the cause of the party!

What Guan Lu left to the world was her oral description and compiled by Chen Huizhi, "I did a little work for the New Fourth Army under the leadership of Pan Hannian."

"Who is a dream close to you? My lover is the only one who is infatuated with me forever." This is Guan Lu's affectionate confession. How strong is a woman to stand up to these miserable years? Her mission was completely completed, she was tired, and she could finally leave without hesitation.

Salute, our heroes, future generations will praise you and love you!
