When firefighters arrived at the scene, thick smoke and fire had blocked all the passages for residents to retreat, and the lives of hundreds of households upstairs were in danger. Li Shengli, who was rushing in front, faced the thick smoke and flames, used his bell arm to climb the car and evacuate and rescue the masses with his comrades at a height of more than 20 meters. Just as the last crowd was evacuated, the 8-story building collapsed vertically... Li Shengli passed by Death.
The fierce fire was still spreading, and Li Shengli held the water gun tightly and rushed up again. In order to cool down, he had to wet his whole body every 10 minutes. Due to the long-term and high-intensity battle, Li Shengli suddenly felt his soles of his feet soft and he fainted at the scene. When he woke up, he rushed into the fire again and persisted until the moment the fire was put out.
This time, Li Shengli, who was only 21 years old, was awarded the first-class personal merit. This young man who dared to sacrifice his life in the face of danger has since become a nickname - "Desperate Sanlang".

In July 2020, the water level of Poyang Lake broke through the historical extreme value. Li Shengli took the initiative to ask for the battle and led the team to Shangrao , Nanchang , Jiujiang and other places.
In Jiujiang, Li Shengli received an emergency task - Liufang Township main tap water pipeline broke, and local people's daily water use was interrupted. When Li Shengli thought that the people could not drink water, he was anxious. At this time, he had been on the dam for three days and two nights. He had just finished his mission and rushed to the scene without stopping. As soon as he arrived at the scene, he was the first to dive into the turbid flood to check the situation. Under the water four or five meters deep, he and his team members fumbled to close the four control valves, creating conditions for emergency repair operations.
"Water is coming!" When these three words came out of the intercom, Li Shengli breathed a sigh of relief.
For Li Shengli, nothing is more urgent than the masses' affairs, and no interests can be heavier than the masses' interests. After more than 10,000 battles, Li Shengli has to be the first in every battle. He said: "I am a firefighter and a party member. I will rush to wherever I need it. This is normal."
In July 2021, Li Shengli's hometown of Henan suffered a once-in-a-century flood. After hearing the call for aid to Henan, he volunteered to join without hesitation. Baisha Town, Zhengzhou was seriously affected. During a rescue mission to transport people, the assault boat suddenly lost its power and spun around the water. Looking at a boat of old people and children who had just felt pain in their homes, 50-year-old Li Shengli did not hesitate. He grabbed the rope and jumped into the water, like an old buffalo, and used all his strength to drag the boat to a safe area hundreds of meters away.
One trip, two trips, three trips... When the team members were resting late at night, they found that Li Shengli's legs were swollen and his feet were soaked that they had peeled off.
During the more than ten days of reinforcement of Henan, Li Shengli led the "Victory Team" to rescue and evacuate trapped people in many places, and continuously carry out epidemic prevention and disinfection, and never had time to go home to take a look.

At the end of July 2020, after sticking to the front line of flood control for nearly a month, Li Shengli finally returned home. As soon as the door was opened, his wife asked with heartache: "Oh, why are you so tanned?" Li Shengli didn't know how to answer, so he could only keep praising "The family is so bright." When he returned home, he lost the confidence and pride of working. For so many years, he has always felt guilty towards his family.

In February 2001, a traffic accident occurred in liquefied gas tank truck at Changjiu Expressway. Li Shengli was ordered to lead a team to rescue and failed to accompany his wife. "He is a firefighter. If he doesn't come, there must be something more important." That day, the wife lying in the delivery room couldn't help but she didn't complain.

He led the team to boldly innovate, launched training procedures for 25 subjects including water areas, deep wells, climbing heights, and rehabilitation, and developed and transformed mobile artillery offensive and defense module vehicles to promote them throughout the province, and two achievements were awarded national patents.
Persistence and concentration are Li Shengli's label. A young team member asked Li Shengli: "Captain, you are in your 50s. Are you tired? What is your original intention?"
