During this period, Zhu Yougui did a lot of work in great detail, mainly to send people to kill Zhu Youwen, forge Zhu Wen's will, and also take out a lot of money to bribe ministers and reward soldiers.

In July 912 AD, Zhu Wen , who had been emperor for five years, was killed by his son Zhu Yougui because of his many unrighteous actions. After Zhu Yougui killed his father, he wrapped the body in a mosquito net and bedding and hid it in the bedroom. Zhu Yougui sent troops to guard the bedroom, claiming that Zhu Wen was sick and no one was allowed to go in. During this period, Zhu Yougui worked hard to do a lot of work, mainly sending people to kill , Zhu Youwen , forged Zhu Wen's will, and also took out a lot of money to bribe ministers and reward soldiers.

Four days later, Zhu Yougui made all preparations and announced the death of the emperor, while reading the forged will. The will of the will says: "I have worked hard for more than 30 years and finally became the emperor's business. Unexpectedly, Zhu Youwen's plan was ill-intentioned and led his troops into the palace late at night to injure me. Thanks to Zhu Yougui's loyalty and filial piety, he led his troops to suppress the thieves and made great contributions. I was seriously ill and ordered Zhu Yougui to preside over major military and national affairs and inherit the throne."

Zhu Yougui's delusion of black and white practices is difficult to convince people, but many ministers accepted Zhu Yougui's bribes and did not say anything. Some people with doubts had no evidence, and they also saw that Zhu Yougui had made the deployment of troops, so they had to obey. So, Zhu Yougui successfully ascended the throne and became emperor.

After Zhu Yougui became emperor, he rewarded all officials and was awarded great meritorious officials. Feng Tingyan, Han Zheng and others were all promoted and valued. Zhu Yougui appointed his younger brother Zhu Youzhen as the lingering master of Dongdu , Kaifeng Yin, and Jingxiang remains the prime minister. Zhu Yougui felt that Zhu Wen's adopted son, , Zhu Youqian, was very virtuous and wanted to appoint him as the Secretary of the Central Secretariat, but Zhu Youqian refused.

Not long after Zhu Yougui ascended the throne, his crime of killing his father and usurping the throne spread wildly, and there were many discussions in the world, especially some veterans who followed Zhu Wen to conquer the world, and were indignant. In addition, Zhu Yougui was not virtuous or talented, arrogant and extravagant, debauchery, and did not care about the people, which caused people's hearts to be dispersed and people's grievances were everywhere. A mutiny occurred in the 3,000 Longxiang Army in Huaizhou, saying that they would fight against the thief.

Zhu Wen's adopted son Zhu Youqian heard that Zhu Yougui killed his father and seized the throne, and was so angry that he surrendered to Li Cunxu. Zhu Yougui sent 50,000 troops to attack, and Li Cunxu sent troops to help, defeating the Liang army and returning.

Zhu Youzhen, who served as Kaifeng Yin, saw that Zhu Yougui committed a tremendous crime and lost the hearts of the people, wanted to take the opportunity to seize the throne. Zhu Youzhen is Zhu Wen's third son. He is handsome, calm and taciturn, loves Confucianism, likes to make friends with Confucian scholars, and has a good reputation.

Zhu Youzhen has a close relationship with his brother-in-law Zhao Yan. Zhao Yan is in charge of the imperial guards, so Zhu Youzhen discusses with him first. Zhao Yan agreed very much and proposed that he should contact the veteran Yang Shihou . With his support, he can be sure of everything. Yang Shihou was a founding hero who followed Zhu Wen to conquer the world. He had a high prestige. At this time, he served as the governor of Wei Bo and held heavy troops.

Zhu Youzhen immediately wrote a letter and sent his confidant Ma Shen to secretly meet Yang Shihou. Ma Shenjiao is from Yan and has always had courage. He said to Yang Shihou: "Zhu Yougui killed his father and usurped the throne and committed adultery in the palace. He has long deviated from the hearts of the people. Zhu Youzhen is kind-hearted and hoped to be. If you can accomplish great things, you will have the great contribution of assisting the emperor to establish an emperor and leave a name in history."

Yang Shihou was originally very angry with Zhu Yougui's murder of his father, but at this time he was a little hesitant and said, "When Zhu Yougui killed the king and usurped the throne, I was confused for a while and did not attack immediately. Now the title of the king and his ministers has been determined. If you do anything, will others say that I betray the monarch?"

Ma Shen Jiao righteously said: "As a son, Zhu Yougui murdered his father, which is a traitor; Zhu Youzhen was determined to attack the culprit and avenge his father. This is natural and justified. What should I hesitate about? Besides, Zhu Youzhen's righteous army will surely succeed. How will you stand in the world at that time?"

Yang Shihou suddenly woke up and said: "I am stupid and almost missed a big deal!" Yang Shihou immediately sent his confidants to Kaifeng and followed Ma Shen to negotiate with Zhu Youzhen and others about major events. With the support of the powerful figure Yang Shihou, Zhu Youzhen's confidence has increased greatly and he feels that he can win with confidence.

At the same time, Zhao Yan also carried out activities in the Imperial Army. He told his confidant Yuan Xiangxian to ask for his opinions. Yuan Xiang was first an imperial guard general and Zhu Wen's nephew. He hated Zhu Yougui's father-killing behavior and made a vow, determined to kill the thief. Zhao Yan and Yuan Xiangxian contacted many imperial guards separately and made all preparations.

One day in February 913, Zhao Yan and Yuan Xiang first gathered thousands of imperial soldiers, and suddenly launched an attack and attacked the palace. Yang Shihou led a Wei Bo army to support outside the city and strengthen the momentum just in case.

The Imperial Army was originally responsible for defending the capital and the imperial palace. He was very familiar with the situation in the palace. In a short while, he successfully rushed into the palace. Yuan Xiang danced the big sword first, shouted loudly, led by the leader, and rushed to the front. The soldiers of the imperial guards all took the lead, and were unstoppable.

After Zhu Yougui became emperor, he thought the overall situation had been settled. He did not expect the imperial guards to rebel and did not take any precautions. Seeing a sudden incident, he was immediately panicked. Zhu Yougui pulled his wife Zhang, ran out and ran out. However, the palace gate has been occupied by the imperial guards and there is no way to escape. There were shouts of killing on all sides, especially the shouts of "killing the traitor in the father-killing thief", every word was harsh. Zhu Yougui was like a headless fly, ramming around everywhere. The guards all fled and fled. Beside Zhu Yougui, only his wife Zhang and his confidant Feng Tingyan were left.

Finally, Zhu Yougui, Zhang and Feng Tingyan fled under the northern city wall. The high city wall blocked the way, and the shouts of killing from behind were getting closer and closer. Zhu Yougui knew in his heart that today was his end. Zhu Yougui was unwilling to die in the hands of the soldiers. He drew out his sword and wanted to commit suicide, but his hands were trembling and he had no strength, so he couldn't commit suicide.

Zhu Yougui handed the sword to Feng Tingyan and asked him to kill himself and Zhang. Feng Tingyan knelt down on the ground and cried unwillingly. Zhu Yougui was furious and shouted at the top of his lungs: "Do you want me to die under the rampant knife?"

Feng Tingyan also knew very well that there was no way out and he had to die today. Feng Tingyan had no choice but to be cruel, closed his eyes, stabbed Zhu Yougui's chest with a sword, and with another sword, Zhang fell into a pool of blood. Afterwards, Feng Tingyan put the sword on his neck, pulled the sword across, and fell to the ground and died. Zhu Yougui was twenty-nine years old when he died, and he had only been emperor for one year.

Zhu Youzhen destroyed the rebels, controlled the court, and with the support of all the ministers, he ascended the throne and became the emperor. Zhu Youzhen immediately issued an edict to abolish Zhu Yougui as a commoner and restore Zhu Youwen's official position and title.

Zhu Youzhen is the third emperor of Houliang and is also the last emperor. In the case of such turmoil in the Houliang, it is naturally not far from destruction.

In 923 AD, Li Cunxu became emperor in Handan, Hebei Province, established the Later Tang regime, and continued to use the Tang Dynasty reign name . Li Cunxu mobilized a large army and destroyed the Later Liang Dynasty in one fell swoop. Zhu Youzhen burned himself to death.

Just like that, the Later Liang Dynasty only lasted sixteen years from its establishment to its demise, and all three emperors died in desperation. It's so sad!
