In 1976, Trekhan’s eldest son Badesh Trekhan, who had just turned 18, accompanied his father on the road to protect the border. This journey lasted 20 years. In the meantime, Du Ge also joined the ranks of border guards.
In 2004, 85-year-old Tere Khan was dying. As he died, he took the hands of his two sons and said, "You must protect the edges. If I die, bury me a little closer to the border. It’s a place where I can see the border every day.”
After his father died, Du Ge and his brother buried his father on a hill less than 1 kilometer away from the border, and looked at the undulating border. The line is right in front of you. From then on, the two brothers put all their energy on protecting the edge.
One day in 2009, Badesh, who returned from the edge guard, held a whip that he could not put down in his hand, and closed his eyes forever.
In just 5 years, two relatives passed away one after another, Du Ge's mood fell to the bottom. If it weren't for the fatigue of protecting the edge, maybe my brother wouldn't die so early. What is the purpose of protecting the edge? During those few days, Du Ge kept asking himself silently, and retreated to his side.
After burying his brother, he came to his father’s cemetery, plucked the weeds from the grave, cultivated the soil, and then quietly looked at the border line not far away.As if seeing his father and elder brother walking along the border, his father’s exhortations during his lifetime sounded in his ears... After finishing his thoughts, he set foot on the road of protecting the border again, and vowed: "I will do one thing in this life, for The motherland guards the border!"
In some sections, Du Ge and the border guards can only check on horseback or on foot.
Throughout the year, there is no wind and snow. Du Ge knows all the plants and trees along the border, and he is called the "living map" on the border. Du Ge has also been commended by superiors many times for his outstanding performance in edge protection. The affirmation of the
organization has inspired Du Ge's enthusiasm for protecting the border even more. He said: "As a member of the great motherland, we have the obligation and responsibility to guard the border and guard the defense."

No regrets in protecting the edge
Decades of protecting the edge, how much hardship Du Ge has suffered, how tired he has been, and how many roads he has walked. Even he can't tell, cheeks and heels. The wound mark at the place is a testimony of his guarding the edge.
One winter, Du gave his companions to protect the edge. When returning, the companion's leather hat was blown away by the strong wind. Seeing his companion's face was blue with cold, Du Ge took off his leather hat and put it on his companion's head. After that, the two braved the severe cold of minus 40 degrees Celsius and rode a dozen kilometers of mountain roads. After arriving home, Du Ji's face was cold and unconscious. His wife rubbed him with snow for more than an hour, but there was still a wine glass-sized piece on his face. The wife tried to apply warm water, but a large piece of skin fell off the towel when she touched it. His wife screamed in fright, but Du Ge didn't care: "Isn't it just a piece of skin, it will grow up in a few days, don't worry!" , one winter is not good. After several visits to the hospital for treatment, the frostbite was cured, but the scars remained on the face forever.

Because it was getting late, he didn't have time to check, so he resisted the pain and climbed onto the horse to go home. When he got home to take off his shoes, the blood that had flowed out was frozen into ice and stuck to the shoes and socks. His wife could only cut open the shoes and socks little by little with scissors, disinfect and bandage the wound. Seeing his wife’s skillful methods, Du joked: "Wife, you can be a surgeon." But his wife was angry: "You were not forced to come out!" After that, she turned around and wiped it. Tears on the face.
Let the five-star red flag fly high

To solve the problem of both production and border protection, Du Ge After in-depth thinking and research, a method for seamless connection of the "red ribbon" has been explored.
He divided the side guards into two teams. On the first day, team A took 10 red ribbons with a single number, and tied a red ribbon after the observation. On the second day, Team B took the red ribbon of the single number and replaced it with the red ribbon of the double number along the route of the previous day. After the patrol, they returned to the village and handed the removed red ribbon to Team A.This not only reminds everyone of the observation of key parts, but also prevents the phenomenon that the side is not in place.
