Our house is New Style Lilan . When it was completed, it was equipped with an independent bathroom and a kitchen with gas. The whole street was covered with sycamore trees. With the four seasons, it changed to decorate the quiet living environment, which was a petty bourgeois style. But later, various small shops along the street became more and more diverse, and there were more and more residents in the alleys. In daily life, several families started to use a bathroom together. Every time at dinner time, neighbors squeezed around and cooked...
The times are changing with each passing day, but the houses are getting older and older. The walls cracked, the roof leaked, and the floor collapsed. These reasons forced many people to leave here and resume, and slowly, the once enviable neighborhood began to decline. Many elderly people were reluctant to leave, saying that they were used to living here, but the living environment without a bathroom and shower room was really overwhelming! Everyone hopes that the government will come to repair the house as soon as possible, but they are afraid that the government will only save face.
Until that year, comrades from the street and housing management bureau took the designer to see the house. They carefully inquired about the different living environments of each house and the use of kitchen and bathroom, and communicated with us over and over again. At first we were questioned and unwilling to transform. Later, when we saw the "one household, one plan" for residents and the "model house" we had prepared, everyone immediately looked forward to the changes in their homes! There is an independent bathroom, the original old bathtub was replaced with a shower room, and the elderly were also thoughtfully equipped with an aging-friendly device for the elderly home decoration . These little changes greatly facilitate our lives. Now it seems that the old house not only restores its historical appearance, but also has modern usage functions, which complement each other with beauty and practicality. Our community has now become a new landmark and a popular internet celebrity check-in point. Everyone is proud to live here for such earth-shaking changes! Thanks to the government's reconstruction for bringing us more comfortable and convenient living environment, which is our voice.

Nanchang Road is 1,690 meters long. The eastern section is located in Hengfu Historical and Cultural Style District, Huangpu District, next to Huaihai Middle Road to the north, and next to Fuxing Middle Road to the south. It is located here, including the Science Hall, the former site of the editorial department of "New Youth" , and the large number of living rooms and garden houses of , which is the former residence of many celebrities. Nowadays, the scale is pleasant, the sycamore tree is hidden, and the business is rich. It is already a historical district with a strong sense of life.
In 2018, we began to repair the protected buildings along Nanchang Road. Our work is to encourage the renovation of historical buildings and improve the living environment of the people while ensuring that the building structure is not damaged and the historical style is continued. Faced with the precious heritage that is not renewable, we are walking on thin ice, cautiously and cautiously holding an "embroidery" attitude, how to protect and renovate each building, on the one hand, we need to consult information and excavate stories, and on the other hand, we have to go through many field investigations and expert discussions. Today, these excellent historical buildings have transformed into cultural exhibition halls and poetry bookstores, improving the quality of the city, and citizens can truly get closer to historical buildings and enjoy the buildings.
Nanchang Road has now become a veritable "architecture readable" neighborhood. In the future, we also hope to provide more "Huangpu samples" for the "new to history" of historical buildings in urban renewal. This is our original intention.
In addition to the protective repair of Nanchang Road, Huangpu District has formed a complete set of management mechanisms and methods from the establishment of rules and regulations to the guidance of planning. As soon as he walked to Nanjing Road, his eyes lit up immediately. The road is also new, the street is also new, and the shops are also new. If you bounce your eyes and don’t be too good. The first store on Nanjing Road is the Peace Hotel. I was about to introduce to my friends from other places that this is the largest hotel in the Far East, but I didn't expect that all of them would disappear. It turned out that they were at the entrance of the hotel. The renovated Nanjing Road is becoming more and more high-tech and modern. I am a Libao architectural designer. The projects I participated in before sounded a bit "high-end", such as the renovation of Huawei flagship store on Nanjing East Road, the repair of the Tianchan Yifu stage, and the gorgeous transformation of the Bund Central Mall, all of which have poured into countless hard-working days and nights.
Later, I received a brand new task, which was to become a community architect and update and design the Libao buildings in the community. What I was facing was no longer various bricks, stones, tiles, and columns, but various built, dilapidated and narrow spaces. Those garden villas and old buildings that looked at the scenery on the outside were living in residents who were even embarrassed in sanitary facilities. From then on, I felt that I had a new mission. I began to immerse myself in the renovation and renovation of residential historical buildings and participated in the renewal projects such as Nanchang Road, Fuxing Road, and Changle Village. These projects directly improve the quality of people's living space and create a beautiful urban space without losing its fireworks.
The old should be restored as it is. As a protector architect, our basic philosophy is to maintain the authenticity and integrity of historical buildings. However, the architect's original intention is to make people's living environment better. How to make historical buildings both "protect" and "warm" is a difficult problem facing each of us designers.Fortunately, we have many partners participating together. They are department managers, public housing properties, community neighborhood committees, and many experts have consultations together. At the regular project meeting, we argued over and over again. On the construction samples, we tried samples over and over again, and on the consultation of residents' wishes, we talked over and over again. It turned out that in addition to professional "technology", the renovation of these old houses also needed to have touching "sincerity".
For the arrangement of pipelines and the selection of indoor materials, we have comprehensively considered the cultural characteristics of historical buildings and the comfort of people's use, and realized "update" in "protection" and "liveable" in "update". This is the true intention of our designers.
