It is said that these 18 new houses were built for Soviet experts aiding China, but later failed to move in for some reason. Finally, the construction company considered the housing difficulties of subordinate employees and decided to share the houses for employees to live in. Among the first batch of workers who divided the houses was Lao Lin's father, and the place where workers lived concentrated was the later Workers' Village.
At the end of 1953, two-year-old Lin Zhaoming and his two brothers moved into the workers' village with their parents, and since then, Lin Zhaoming's 69-year-old worker's village life began.
