Sanwan Township Overview
Sanwan Township is located in the west of Si County . The stationed in Sanliwan, 1.5 kilometers away from the county town, with a total area of 36.7 square kilometers. It is connected to Chengguan Town in the east and is connected to the Xinbian River in the south, and is opposite to Wuxu Township across the river; it borders to Pengpu Township in the west, and to Xinbian River in the north, and borders to Wudian Township. It has 7 villagers' committees, , 80 villagers' groups, 46 natural villages, 2796 households, 13,391 people, and Han nationality .
This village is 3 miles away from the county town, with three bays on the road, named Sanli Bay. Because the township government is located in Sanliwan, it is named after the word "Sanwan". Sanwan Commune (changed into a township name) was established in 1980.
The territory is flat, with an altitude of about 19 meters, and the soil is black and yellow silt. It has a temperate semi-humid climate, with an average temperature of 14.3 degrees Celsius. The average temperature in the coldest month (January) is minus 1 degree Celsius. The hottest month (the average temperature in July is 27.5 degrees Celsius. The annual rainfall is 895.6 mm. The frost-free period is 204 days. Natural conditions are good. Before liberation, there were no water conservancy facilities, and there were many disasters and low yields. After liberation, 18 small electric irrigation stations were excavated, with a total capacity of 490 kilowatts. The drainage and irrigation system was supported year by year. Most villagers' groups can drain and irrigate in time, benefiting from 19,979 mu, accounting for 85% of the cultivated land area. The improvement of production conditions promotes the continuous development of agriculture and the continuous improvement of grain and oil production.
There are 25,170 mu of arable land in the township, mainly farmers. The main crops are wheat, corn, beans, sweet potatoes, sesame, peanuts, etc. In 1985, the wheat sowing area was 14,993 mu, the yield per unit of 566 jin, and the total output of 8481,700 jin; the autumn crop area was 15,223 mu, the yield per unit of 351 jin, and the total output of 5343,500 jin; the annual grain output was 14,340,000 jin. It increased by more than 4 times compared with the annual yield per unit of 125 jin in the early stage of liberation. The oil crop area was 5,851 mu, and the total output per unit of 1,037,900 jin, which was both increased by both in the early stage of liberation. The average grain distribution at the end of the year was more than 800 jin.
Forest and Maid The industry developed rapidly. Before the liberation, there were only few trees around the village, and farmers did not raise many pigs and sheep. Now, river embankments, ditches, roadsides, villages were densely covered with forest belts and shaded by green trees. In 1985, there were 2,055 large livestock and 2,694 pigs. There were 1,154 sheep in stock.
Township enterprises include iron and wood industry, repair, welding, grain processing, etc.
Transportation, education, health and other undertakings have developed greatly. In the early days of liberation, transportation, education, and health were inconvenient. There were only two primary schools and no medical equipment. There were currently asphalt roads from Si County to Su County that crossed the countryside. There were endless vehicles, and the countryside was simple and public The road teams are connected; the Xinbian River is smooth and the water and land transportation is extremely convenient. There are 9 primary schools, 1 junior high school, and 84 faculty and staff. There are 2,130 students in school, with an enrollment rate of 98%. There are 1 health center, 29 medical staff, 5 clinics, and 10 medical staff.
Some villagers' groups in the township have used electricity to irrigate, process and lighting; there is 1 supply and marketing cooperative and 1 credit cooperative.
