When I was a child, cross-strait exchanges were relatively closed. My understanding of the mainland was very limited, but I knew that the living conditions of the people at that time were very difficult. After his father arrived in Taiwan in 1949, he never set foot on the land of his motherland until his death. This is his lifelong regret.
In 1992, I joined the Taiwan Electricity department, and my salary was already RMB 5,000 per month. Now, I have served in the company for 27 years and have been in Shanghai for 12 years. Shanghai has become my second hometown.

1967, I was born in Nantou County, Taiwan. My father went to Taiwan with the Kuomintang from his hometown of Huaian, Jiangsu in 1949. The beautiful Sun Moon Lake is located in Nantou County. It is the only place in Taiwan surrounded by mountains and beautiful scenery without relying on the sea.
I was born in a well-off family. In addition to our parents, there are three brothers and sisters in the family. I am the eldest and have worked in the electronics industry for more than 27 years. My second brother mainly serves water and electricity, and my third sister makes a living by selling ginger and garlic processed products in the traditional market.
My father is a civil servant, and my mother is mainly a family labourer at home to pull us up. In the era of that time, our family had already lived a well-off life, with many toys, candies, and pastries that were not available in families. My childhood life is relatively wealthy.

My father’s main writing tool in that era was a brush. When I was a child, I often saw my father writing calligraphy, and the Chinese painters who went to Taiwan to draw with me. In addition, my school calligraphy homework made me have a strong interest in arts such as calligraphy, painting and music. My life is full of artistic sense.
From elementary school to high school, the school organizes the learning of calligraphy. Maybe I have a keen understanding of beauty innately, and I have made great achievements in calligraphy and sketching competitions both inside and outside the school. When I was in high school, my studies were a little slow, so I joined the school band.
At that time, cross-strait relations were still relatively hostile, and cross-strait exchanges were indeed relatively closed. I have very limited knowledge of the mainland, but I know that the lives of the people are very hard.
Later, cross-strait relations eased, and the mainland also opened up the policy of visiting relatives, but my father passed away at this time and did not catch up with this good opportunity to go back to his hometown to visit relatives.

After leaving the mainland, I never set foot on the land of my motherland again. This is my father's lifelong regret. When my father was alive, he often told stories about his past in his hometown. He studied in a private school when he was a child. Later, he graduated from elementary school and lost his boat trip in Xuanwu Lake in Nanjing. He went to junior high school in , Zhenjiang , Shanghai, and also watched the racecourse in Shanghai. His father, who could speak Shanghai dialect, was still dancing towards the prosperity of Shanghai at that time.
When my father was alive, he often warned us: "Our roots are in the mainland, so we should go back to the mainland to check it out." It's a pity that my father couldn't wait for this day.
When I was in high school, I attended the Taiwan Provincial Taichung Senior Industrial Vocational School. Because I love music very much, I organized 7 classmates to join the school band. In our spare time, we play the guitar and sing, which adds some fun to the dull high school life.
Just as a classmate's family is in the funeral industry, making paper-paste cars, villas and paper money to burn them to the deceased. One day, the classmate said that there was a funeral on Sunday, and there was a shortage of staff. Are you willing to make extra money? So our band took the school instruments to the municipal funeral home to play part-time music.

Later, this matter was leaked and was interviewed by the school's education team leader. Fortunately, it was just a warning and agreed not to make it again, so we were let go.At this point, our band no longer does this part-time job, just for entertainment. But my love for music never stops.
Later, I was admitted to the public Kaohsiung University of Applied Science and Technology, which is now Kaohsiung University of Applied Science and Technology . At that time, there were only 2 in public schools, and the competition was fierce. Fortunately, during my time at school, I actively participated in club activities and served as the head of the club, such as wind music club, calligraphy club, etc. These experiences have added a lot of points to my college entrance examination.
During the university period, the school held an event to visit sister schools in the United States to select talents, requiring relatively outstanding English abilities and talent performances. I just happened to have a hobby in this area, so I was selected. When I was a student in 1989, I visited two sister schools in the United States.

2014 I took my family to visit my friend's house again. In 1992, after two years of compulsory military service, the first thing to do was to relax and ride a motorcycle around the island with your classmates. During this period, in order to save costs and smooth transportation, I brought a tent and tire repair tool. I went east, slept in schools and public places, and took a boat to my grandmother's Penghu Bay .

After the trip around the island, I started looking for a job. Through the introduction of a senior working in the environmental power department, I entered the former Huanlong Electric Company, which is now Shanghai Huanxu Electronics Company, and started working as an engineer.
Over the past decade, Taiwan's economy has made rapid progress and entered the era of " Four Little Dragons ". There were opportunities everywhere in Taiwan. At that time, my salary was about 5,000 yuan per month. That was also the peak of the booming development of the electronics industry. As the company's business expanded, foreign factories outside Taiwan such as Mexico, Shenzhen, and Shanghai were successively established.

I am a person who loves life and enjoys life, and I am also good at discovering beauty in life. Drink a cup of tea, look at a flower, read a book, savor it carefully, and there is joy in life everywhere.
Based on my preference for musical instruments, I cooperated with the Taiwan Provincial Government Police Band to join the Yashi Orchestra. In addition to entertaining myself, I can also make money in my spare time, which is also a big addition to my life.

The company found me, and although it happened to be newly married at that time, I still went to Mexico without hesitation. I have been there for almost two months and my wife misses me very much. In 2000, I went to California, USA to open a new factory and went on a business trip for another 2 months. At this time, my wife was pregnant with her dick, and just before the business trip ended, she embarked on a journey to find her husband thousands of miles. It is very difficult for pregnant people to apply for US visa , but in the end my wife came to the United States and gave me an unexpected surprise.
Before the business trip ended, I applied for a vacation and planned to take my wife on her first self-driving tour in the United States. A person who can't speak English and has never gone abroad flew to , San Francisco, alone, and met two people at the airport. This is not a very easy task.

In 2005, Taiwan’s electronics industry set up factories in various parts of the mainland, the four little dragons in Taiwan began to decline, and China ushered in an era of explosive economic takeoff.
's main business has also been transferred to the mainland one after another, and the focus of my work is gradually on the mainland, so my chances of traveling on business are higher. The lack of experienced technicians and supervisors in factories in mainland China, and the shrinking of Taiwan's business has forced me to face up to the development in the next decade.
