playstation Studios, revealed that Sony 's first-party PlayStation game may take "at least a year" before logging on to the PC platform, but online games may be faster.
initially confirmed that it will explore bringing its first-party PlayStation exclusive games to PC in March 2020, and announced that Horizon: Dawn of Zero will be the first to launch the move - although it said that "releasing first-party AAA games to PC does not mean that all games will now be on PC", and it has no plans to follow Xbox's approach and release new releases on PC simultaneously.
Since then, with the successful release of Horizon: Dawn of Zero on PC, the number of games joining the platform has continued to grow. The remake of " is no longer ", " God of War 4" and " Marvel Spider-Man " have been completed, and the collection of "Marvel Spider-Man: Myers", "Underworld: The Legion of the Thieves" and "Sack Boys: Big Adventure" have been confirmed to be in the PC version.
Despite the steady growth in game releases, there is no indication that Sony intends to change the initial position of its first-party PlayStation game daily PC releases, and Hulst now shares the company's ideas on this.
In a video interview with Julien Chièze (thanks VGC), Hulst explained: "It's great for the team to see their great work release on PC as well... there are more players, and it's really helpful. I think at least a year between releasing games on Playstation and PC platforms, maybe other than live service games."
He explained that these games are "somewhat different in nature, because you want to have a really strong community and have strong stickiness as soon as you go online. So the real-time services we offer may be consistent with the PC and PlayStation platforms."
Earlier this year, Sony said it planned to launch 10 online games by the fiscal year ending March 2026. Although the details have not been announced yet, it is likely to include the new series of Bungie "Matter", Naughty Dog's "The Last of Us" multiplayer project, Deviation Games' playstation exclusive IP, Jade Raymond's new game for Haven Studios, and the rumored "Hodawn: Zero Dawn" multiplayer.
is not clear at this time how many of these games will be on the PC platform, but Sony has said that PC and mobile games are expected to account for nearly half of the total PlayStation game releases by 2025.
