The complete sequel to "Cyberpunk 2077" (Cyberpunk 2077) is about to be released.
Today, developer CD Projekt Red kicked off its upcoming project, including a project code-named Orion.
The company said this will be "the next cyberpunk game" and it will "further advance the cyberpunk series and continue to capitalize on the potential of this dark future universe."
There is no mention of the company's long-term Cyberpunk multiplayer project, which has been spent years and was previously described as 3A production. However, today’s series of announcements include CD Projekt’s “introducing multiplayer mode to most of our new games to enrich the single-player experience.” Perhaps this multiplayer project has evolved into a sequel to Cyberpunk?
In addition to this news, the company has also announced further plans for the next "The Witcher" series. This will include a new trilogy game that will start a project code-named "Polaris" and will be released in 6 years.
The company currently has a project called "Canis Majoris" (which will be developed by a third-party studio) in progress. This will be a full-fledged Witcher game, but unlike the aforementioned Witcher trilogy.
About the "Witcher" series, the studio revealed a project code-named "Sirius" and was run by molass Flood.
Sirius will add multiplayer elements based on a single player experience, including "battle with missions and stories".
As for the long-awaited contemporary console update of "The Witcher 3", there are no new details yet, but it is still confirmed this year.
Finally, a brand new IP codenamed "Hadar" is also in preparation, but the details are currently kept confidential. CD Projekt Red says the game is still in the "early stages of the creative process" and therefore its development has not yet begun. The company said it would be a "completely different IP" and would be "created from scratch" in CD Projekt Red.
