Following last week’s announcement of the Lollipop Chainsaw remake, project producer and Dragami Games president Zenmi Yasuda released a new message addressing fans’ concerns about changes to the story and aesthetics:
《 It’s been a week since the announcement of Chainsaw: Remastered. Many fans have asked about the content of previous announcements, and we wanted to take the time to share our thoughts and intentions for this project.
The main goal of the Chainsaw remake project is to make it easier for players who want to play Chainsaw today, rather than making a new Chainsaw game. Of course, the ideal would be to make an authentic remake, with nothing changed. Unfortunately, however, we weren't able to include all 16 licensed songs, but they were an important part of the original game, so our goal was to make the remaster as close to the original as possible.
We noticed that some players are speculating that the remake will change the story. We believe that the story of Chainsaw Hearts is an important part of what fans love most about the original game, and we as developers feel the same way. Therefore, the story will not change in the remake.
Additionally, we are not planning to change the visual aesthetics of the game.
mentioned in previous announcements how the game will have more realistic graphics, referring to the fact that we will be taking advantage of the advanced rendering technology found in current consoles. We don't want to change Juliet's design, so the assumption that we want to change it is unfounded. We are the ones who created the Juliet model data 10 years ago after trial and error and like her better than anyone else.
Finally, we learned after the announcement of Chainsaw: Remastered that many fans were concerned about elements of censorship in the game. We have not discussed this issue with the platform, so we cannot talk about this topic yet. But what we can say is that we intend to negotiate with the platform to make the game as close to the original version as possible.
