Liu Xianglong said that the transformation of China's urban public transportation industry faces four challenges: competition from other transportation modes such as private motorization, recurrence of epidemics and normalization of prevention and control, sustainability of fiscal and tax subsidy policies, and insufficient own competitiveness. But at the same time, there are also four opportunities to build a powerful transportation country, achieve dual carbon goals, accelerate the integration and application of high and new technologies, and incorporate the "Urban Public Transport Regulations" into the annual legislative plan of the State Council.
