The 250,000-ton waterway project in the Jingtang Port Area of Tangshan Port has recently passed the delivery and acceptance. It is reported that this is the first 250,000-ton channel in Hebei Province and the first domestically built 250,000-ton channel on a silty sandy coast.
It is understood that the 250,000-ton waterway project in the Jingtang Port Area of Tangshan Port is part of the "Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Coordinated Development of Transportation Integration Plan (2019-2035)" and the Ministry of Transport's "Fourteenth Five-Year Development Plan for Water Transport" The key project of "Hebei Province Comprehensive Three-dimensional Transportation Network Planning Outline". The project is built on the basis of the original 200,000-ton-class waterway through deepening, widening, and corresponding extension and expansion. The total investment is 1.69 billion yuan. The development trend of globalization and deep-water channels has greatly improved the throughput of ships in the port area and the level of navigation safety. The project also reserves the conditions for upgrading the 300,000-ton-class waterway.
The 250,000-ton channel in Jingtang Port Area of Tangshan Port is currently the first 250,000-ton channel built on the silty sandy coast in China, marking a major breakthrough in my country's port construction technology. Over the years, Tangshan Port Industrial Group has continued to innovate, and related achievements of port construction on silty sandy coast have been incorporated into port technical specifications and won the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award.
