On the evening of December 30, 2022, under the guidance of the Secretariat of the National Joint Conference of New Confucian Business Groups and hosted by Jiaxing New Confucian Business Enterprise Innovation and Development Research Institute, the "First New Confucian Business Wisdom Online Training Class" successfully concluded after 12 days of intense and orderly study, and a grand graduation ceremony was held. This New Confucian Businessman Wisdom online training class is personally taught by Professor Li Honglei of Sun Yat-sen University, a contemporary corporate Confucian scholar and secretary-general of the National Joint Conference of New Confucian Business Groups. It offers 10 courses including "New Confucian Businessman and Corporate Governance". A total of 124 leaders and backbones of New Confucian businessmen groups from all over the country learn for free through online courses.
This new Confucian businessman wisdom online training class was held under the severe situation of the spread of the epidemic in various places. In the face of widespread infection, teachers, students, and academic staff resisted the invasion of the epidemic, went against the current, taught on time, attended classes on time, completed class assignments on time, corrected homework on time, completed the original teaching plan with quality and quantity, and achieved fruitful results. This in itself is a vivid embodiment of the contemporary New Confucian businessman spirit of "having the courage to take responsibility and dare to win"!

The closing ceremony was hosted by Tang Shiwu, dean of the first New Confucian Business Wisdom Online Training Class and executive director of the Jiaxing New Confucian Business Innovation and Development Institute. Professor Li Honglei first delivered a speech at the graduation ceremony. He pointed out that this New Confucian Businessman Wisdom online training class has achieved fruitful results. The greatest achievement is that through systematic learning and in-depth discussions, it has further clarified the positioning of New Confucian businessmen and solved the most important issues related to the current development of New Confucian businessmen such as "What is a New Confucian businessman?" and "How to build a New Confucian businessman."
What is a New Confucian business enterprise? Professor Li Honglei pointed out: Unlike traditional Confucian businessmen who are "ethical Confucian businessmen", the biggest characteristic of new Confucian businessmen is "governance-based Confucian businessmen". Our New Confucian businessmen are not only "good people" who are enthusiastic about social welfare undertakings, but also "capable people" who help enterprises develop and promote the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. Going back to our purpose and mission, only by first "creating wealth with Taoism" can we be able to "help the world with virtue"; only by first "promoting business with Confucianism" can we be able to "serve the country with business". We must understand that Confucian businessmen are not a halo given to entrepreneurs by the outside world, nor are they used by entrepreneurs to show off their capital, but a conscious choice by us to run a business. Why choose to be a "New Confucian businessman"? Because the New Confucian business wisdom can bring us positive energy for corporate survival, growth, development and expansion! The successful experiences of a large number of New Confucian businessmen demonstration companies such as Huawei , Haier , Technetium, Fotile , Tianyuan, and Taiwei that we learned during this course show that choosing to be a New Confucian businessman means choosing the long-term stability of the company and choosing a bright future for the company!
How to build a New Confucian business enterprise? This training class organized everyone to systematically study and discuss in depth the six aspects and specific contents of the "New Confucian Businessman Corporate Governance Wisdom". These six aspects are the basic contents of the "Boao Confucian Business Ranking Evaluation System" formulated in 2017 (referred to as the "Six Rules"). The New Confucian business model enterprises that we commend and learn from now, such as Huawei, Haier, Goodtech, Fotile, Tianyuan, Taiwei, etc., are selected based on this standard. In the future, the Secretariat of the National Joint Conference of New Confucian Business Groups will guide the construction of New Confucian business enterprises in various places, including the selection of "New Confucian Business Demonstration Enterprises", "New Confucian Business Demonstration Groups", "New Confucian Business Demonstration Bases", etc., and will basically follow this evaluation system. It can be said that these "six rules" are the embodiment of our New Confucian business enterprise governance wisdom, and are the basic regulations and basic standards for building New Confucian business enterprises.
The "Six Rules" of the new Confucian business governance wisdom are as follows:
1. Governing enterprises with virtue: Practicing the Confucian concept of "Tao is governed by virtue, unified by etiquette", morality inspires good roots and educates employees; etiquette rules and strict systems; laws convince people's hearts, and rewards and punishments are appropriate.
2. Righteousness generates profit: Practice the Confucian concept of "righteousness generates profit and benefit the common people", make money in a proper way and operate according to the law; pay taxes according to regulations and provide employment; meet needs and guide people to do good.
3. Trust to build the world: practice the Confucian concept of "sincerity in the heart and trust in others", consistent with words and deeds, unity of appearance and interior; word-of-mouth marketing, establishing brand; cooperative development, symbiosis and win-win.
4. Start a business with wisdom: practice the Confucian concept of "a wise man will not be confused", be good at seizing business opportunities, and keep pace with the times; advocate wisdom, learn and grow; build an everlasting business and operate sustainably.
5. Be kind and love others: practice the Confucian concept of "the benevolent do not worry", care for employees and share wealth; care for customers and serve the public; be charitable and green.
6. Be brave and take responsibility: practice the Confucian concept of "the brave shall not be afraid", be strict with yourself and lead by example; work hard and strive for self-improvement; take responsibility and spread civilization.
At the closing ceremony, Zhang Hua, chairman of Shenzhen Sanhe International Group, Feng Yuansong, chairman of Jiangsu Far East Paper, and Wang Bin, chairman of Tibet Fukang Hospital, reported on their company’s long-term exploration and practice of the New Confucian businessman spirit; they expressed that through this study, they had a systematic and in-depth grasp of the New Confucian businessman wisdom and were determined to consciously build a contemporary New Confucian businessman demonstration enterprise.
