Water transportation is an important part of the integrated transportation system. At present, my country has become an important water transport country in the world, which strongly supports the implementation of major national strategies and economic and social development. In 2020, my country's port cargo throughput will reach 14.55 billion tons, ranking first in the world.
Shipping has achieved leapfrog development. As of the end of 2020, my country's international shipping volume has accounted for 1/3 of the global shipping volume, and the shipping capacity of the shipping fleet has reached 314 million dwt, ranking second in the world. The advantages of inland shipping have been further brought into play. In 2020, the freight volume of inland water transportation nationwide will be 3.815 billion tons, ranking first in the world for many consecutive years. At the same time, the water transportation industry is constantly moving towards smart and green development. Automated docks are increasingly becoming the “standard configuration” of coastal ports, and a clean and low-carbon port energy system is gradually established, making positive contributions to energy conservation and emission reduction.
During the National Day holiday, many ports are still busy. The employees stick to the front line, the loading and unloading production is orderly, and the port operates efficiently and safely.
