The sun rises at the thirteenth hour, so the dog opens its eyes on the thirteenth day, so the dog lies down. The fighting moves around the house, and the dog also circles the house at night. "Spring and Autumn Wei" also records this ancient text.
"Spring and Autumn Examination of Yiyou" says:
"In the year seventy-nine and sixty-three, Yang Qi is flowing, so fighting for luck, dogs are born in March."
Song Jun's note:
"Dogs are born from fighting spirits."
"Spring and Autumn Yuan Mingbao" also said:
"Dogs are fighting spirits, and they are used to save and legislate."
Song Jun said:
"Dogs are fighting spirits, and they are also able to distinguish Qi. Dogs can distinguish between good and evil, and they can lie down and bend down. "Xiang Dou Lun"
Zisi, the author of "The Book of Changes" He uses this puppy, which symbolizes Beidou, to continue to vividly explain his principles of heaven and man.
The poem "Meng (娨)" says "Tong Meng (娨)", which is the image of a puppy.
According to Jiu Jiayi, the eyes of a newborn puppy cannot be opened, and the word "mong" means "blurred" in itself.
This Tong Meng (娨), who cannot open his eyes, is compared by Zisi to the unopened and chaotic human heart.
This puppy is the essence of the Big Dipper. Although the chaos has not yet opened, it has the function of dispersing the essence into four seasons.
"Inscriptions on the Spring and Autumn Annals" says:
The fighting stars sometimes scatter their essence into pigs, and they are born in April, which is in accordance with the laws of nature.
"Yi Benming" also says:
The time is dominated by pig; therefore pig is born in April.
Coincidentally, we have said that the third hexagram "Tuen" paired with the "Meng" hexagram, the four horses riding the horse Banru, are the symbols of the four seasons of spring, summer, autumn and winter.
Moreover, the four seasons of spring, summer, autumn and winter correspond to " Yuan Henry Zhen", symbolizing the four virtues of benevolence, etiquette, righteousness, wisdom!
In other words, the four virtues of benevolence, propriety, righteousness, wisdom, are all produced from the chaotic and uncut essence of the Big Dipper - Tong Menglai!
What a wonderful metaphor!
Everyone originally has the four virtues of benevolence, propriety, justice and wisdom.
Zisi's later study Mencius said:
Everyone has the heart of compassion; the heart of shame and disgust, everyone has it; the heart of respect, everyone has it; the heart of right and wrong, everyone has it. The heart of compassion is benevolence; the heart of shame and hatred is righteousness; the heart of respect is courtesy; the heart of right and wrong is wisdom. Benevolence, justice, etiquette, and wisdom are not imposed on me from outside, but are inherent in me. Therefore, it is said: "Ask for it and you will get it; if you give it up, you will lose it." ’ Or someone who is twice as smart but has no calculation, or someone who cannot use his talents to the best of his ability.
It is precisely because the four principles of benevolence, justice, propriety and wisdom are in Tongmeng's heart, "ask and you will get it", so the rhetoric in "Meng" says, "I ask Tongmeng, and Tongmeng asks me"!
