Zhang Juren said to the rich man: "Listen to me first and dig five feet deep in the place I selected. If nothing strange is dug out, it means that the feng shui of this mountainous area is indeed bad. You can choose another one." Place." The rich people thought it made sense, so they hired workers to dig up the mountain. After digging to a depth of about five feet, something magical appeared: two turtles were dug out of the ground. Those Feng Shui masters also changed their minds, saying that this was a Feng Shui treasure land, and suggested that the rich dig the grave deeper.
After hearing this, Zhang Juren quickly dissuaded the rich man: Don't dig any further, otherwise it will destroy the feng shui of the tomb. However, the wealthy family was influenced by those Feng Shui masters and felt that the deeper the tomb, the greater the blessings would be, so they asked people to continue digging deeper. The workers dug down another foot or so and dug out a human-shaped piece of rosin, but unfortunately it was broken into two pieces. The rich man regretted greatly, and Zhang Juren advised: "This is also destined to happen. There is no way to force it. Let's bury our ancestors as I said before. Although the Feng Shui here has been destroyed, it can still ensure the safety of future generations. It's just that it will take a hundred years to get the blessing."
The rich man did not hesitate this time. He listened to Zhang Juren and selected the ancestral grave here. He also asked Zhang Juren to choose the date of burial and asked Zhang Juren to preside over the burial. As soon as Zhang Juren agreed to the rich family's request, another family came to ask Zhang Juren to preside over the burial, and the burial date happened to be the same day chosen by the rich family. Zhang Juren had no other skills, so he asked his apprentice to go to that house to preside over the burial. It was the first time that the apprentice went out to preside over such a big event alone. He was unsure and asked Zhang Juren for advice: "When is the auspicious time to be buried?"
Zhang Juren smiled and said, "You only need to look at the big tree next to the cemetery. If a fish head grows on a tree, it is an auspicious time for burial. "A fish head grows on a tree?" Zhang Juren's apprentice had a puzzled look on his face, but he didn't dare to ask any more questions, so he could only follow the instructions in a daze. He came to the cemetery of this family. The craftsmen had already done what they had to do, and they only needed to give the order to carry the coffin and bury him. The little apprentice stared at the big tree next to the cemetery, waiting in surprise and uncertainty, but secretly felt absurd in his heart: fish live in water, how can fish grow on the tree?
At this time, many people were standing around the cemetery to watch the fun. One person happened to buy two fish from the street and passed by, wanting to join in the fun. He stood behind the crowd and couldn't see inside, so he climbed to the tree with two fish, tied the fish to the tree, and stood on the tree to watch. The young apprentice was waiting anxiously. Suddenly, he suddenly found a fish head growing on the tree. He was surprised and happy. He quickly waved his hand and told the craftsman: "The auspicious time has come, bury!"
In addition to looking at tombs, Zhang Ju people also help people read fortunes and predict good and bad fortunes, which are often very effective. There was a governor of Zhejiang Province who heard about Zhang Juren's name and paid him to serve as his staff. Usually Zhang Juren helped the governor to divine some daily affairs, and nothing was inaccurate. It happened that the governor planned to repair the government office, so he asked Zhang Juren to help choose the location of the government office. Zhang Ju chose the direction and showed it to the governor. The governor frowned a little, thinking that the direction was a bit off, and wanted Zhang Ju to change it. Zhang Juren said: "It is okay to make some changes, but after the changes, the government office will definitely be destroyed by fire within a hundred years." After the governor heard what he said, he made no more changes.
This morning, the governor asked Zhang Juren to predict whether anything big would happen today. Zhang Juren did the math and said to the governor: "There will be a baby in the house tonight." The governor asked again whether the baby was a boy or a girl, and Zhang Juren said. : "It's a boy." After hearing this, the governor smiled and shook his head: "I only have an old wife at home, and she is almost sixty years old. How could she give birth to a boy?" Just as he was talking, the gatekeeper's family came in and reported: "Young master brought his wife Back!" The governor was shocked and quickly took the man into his house. It turned out that his son and daughter-in-law had been married for almost a year. The daughter-in-law was pregnant and had to go to Jinling to visit her father-in-law. Just as the father-in-law was ordered to be transferred to another province, he sent the young couple back. They took the boat and traveled for four days and four nights before returning to Hangzhou. That night, the governor's daughter-in-law gave birth to a son, which confirmed Zhang Juren's prediction.
Zhang Juren is a celebrity in Hangzhou, and people often invite him to banquets. On this day, someone invited Zhang Juren to drink in the evening again, but Zhang Juren seemed a little embarrassed and never agreed to go on time. Until the evening, Zhang Juren hesitated again and again, then someone hired a sedan to carry him there, and asked the sedan bearer to wait for him there.
When he arrived at the banquet table, before the banquet was over, he pretended to be too drunk, left the banquet table, quietly came to the corner of the room, took off all his clothes and pants, and boarded the sedan naked, making people laugh. Carry him back. The host thought Zhang Juren was drunk, so he took the initiative to leave the table and go home. He didn't care and continued to drink and chat with other guests. The banquet continued, and at the second watch, a fire accidentally broke out in a neighbor's house. The fire spread and affected the surrounding families. The drinkers at the banquet were caught off guard, and because they drank too much, not many people were spared.
Some people felt lucky for Zhang Juren afterwards. Zhang Juren said: "Actually, I was also destined to die in the fire. I took off my clothes and put them there to replace myself, so I survived."
In his later years, Zhang Juren is completely deaf in both ears and can only communicate with others by writing on paper. Zhang Juren therefore no longer performed divination for people to read Feng Shui. He told others that his deafness might be because he had revealed too many secrets.
