Amazon , Walmart and Target are not only the best retailers in the United States, but also one of the favorite brands of Z generation at present. The results are from data collected from the survey from May 1 to August 21, 2022.
report shows that in the ranking of the favorite brands of Generation Z, Amazon, Walmart and Target ranked fourth, sixth and seventh respectively, beating brands such as Nike, Oreo, Dollar Tree and Apple . These three retailers are also very popular among other young groups, but rank slightly higher in Gen Z.
YouTube ranks first in terms of Gen Z brand preferences, followed by Google and Netflix. For brands such as Discord, TikTok, Crocs, Snapchat and Shein, Millennials and Gen Z have the largest preference gap, and it seems to be much larger than millennials. For example, 59.69% of Gen Z adults have a good impression of crocodiles, 13.38 percentage points higher than millennials (46.30%).
Among the men of Generation Z, the most popular brands are Youtube, followed by Gatorade , Playstation, Google and Walmart. Among Gen Z women, YouTube, Google, Netflix, Target and M&M are in the top five. In the clothing category, Shein is the most popular brand, especially among women of Generation Z. 44% of Gen Z adults said they had a good impression of the fast fashion company, compared with just 22% of adults of all ages.
In addition, Generation Z also favors fast fashion brands such as H&M, Forever 21 and Zarah. A ThredUp survey of 1,989 consumers aged 16-25 showed that one-third of respondents were keen on buying fast fashion products.
