The youthful memories of the generation born in the 1980s from the concert on the antenna in May-Taiwan travel memories

1. Memories from an online concert

On the last day of May, the romantic surprise of the concert on the antenna in May brought back the feelings of the youth born in the 1980s. I suddenly remembered a long time ago, about some memories, a trip, a friend I haven't seen for a long time. Just like the theme of this Live-"Suddenly Want to See You".

MAYDAY 2020 LIVE IN THE SKY online concert

I remember the Qiongyao TV dramas on hourly TV, the two sides of the strait on Southeast TV, the literary and artistic movies in Youth... Taiwan is a very close and seemingly distant island My childhood memory of the post-80s is full of mysterious charm.

When I was in high school, I bought the first Mayday album-"God’s Children Are Dancing". The song " stubborn" accompanied me during the most resisting period. Later I went to Tianjin to study, just in time. When I came to China for development last Mayday, I followed them to several cities, chasing the scene, buying genuine albums, wearing an MP3 necklace designed by Ashin, filled with Mayday music.

I remember every Taiwanese movie I have watched, ", the furthest distance" with a small soup with sound recorded, Kang Zhengxing in "Summer Light Year", green rice fields in "Summer Tail", "Blue In "The Gate of Color", Zhang Shihao rides a bicycle with flying clothes... His youthful youth, with a little bit of tingling, pain and growth, is like the taste of Shunji Iwai's movie, but with the warmth that is unique to Taiwan.

"The Farthest Distance"

It seems that I have always had a special attachment to islands. After graduating in 2008, I chose to work in Xiamen. When I grew up in the north, I ran to the south alone for the first time. The kind and unfamiliar Minnan dialect and the islands around the sea are like a gift to myself when I was just 21 years old. The sweetness of adventure. On this island, I wasted 4 years of youth, chaos countless days and nights, and met lifelong friends. All the laughter and tears of youth,They are all left to this island, and all the regrets and dreams are also left to this island. In the autumn of 2011, after watching a Mayday 3D concert movie in the cinema, I set off to return to the north, which I am familiar and unfamiliar with, to start my life in the north.

2. Some goodbyes are for a better meeting.

In the summer of 2017, I met a friend whom I haven't seen for a long time while living in Xiamen and started my first trip to Taiwan.

  • Kaohsiung I missed my flight before

I left home early in the morning with a swollen face at 4 o’clock and went to Beijing Capital Airport to catch a flight to Shanghai at 6:30, in order to meet The friends met in the afternoon and went to Kaohsiung. The capital airport was delayed for 6 and a half hours. When I only took off from Beijing, the flight from Shanghai to Kaohsiung took off every second. I had to let my friends go to Kaohsiung to wait for me. When I arrived in Shanghai, I went through the refund and change procedures, and had tossed about two terminals. In the evening, I finally left Shanghai. It was night when I arrived in Kaohsiung, and my friend had soaked in the hotel and rested comfortably.

It’s been a long time since I saw each other and smiled, as if we had just had coffee together yesterday. We went to the nearby night market for food, and the enthusiastic Tainan people chatted with us happily. The older uncle met mainlanders who seemed to like to talk about the past of the KMT. Avoiding the enthusiastic topic of modern history, eating snacks and desserts, this day of rushing, finally ended imperfectly, a little bit happy for the official trip tomorrow.

  • Memories of Tainan

The morning when I woke up, the weather was very good, and I had salt water duck rice near the hotel when I woke up. It reminded me of the taste of living in Xiamen. The stay in Kaohsiung was short. We went to the Pier-2 Art District and took a half-day photo at the sunny pier. After a circle of sightseeing buses, I visited the Eslite Bookstore for the first time.

I remember reading an ad copy collection called "Eslite Side Effects", and I feel that Eslite is like a cultural symbol of Taiwan. When I met it for the first time, it seemed to make a new friend who could communicate. I haven't been in a bookstore for a long time, and spent a lot of time in it. I read books, picked records, ate popsicles, and bought cloth bags to store sundries.

The fruit popsicles sold in the bookstore are super delicious

The next day I booked a carpool from Kaohsiung to Kenting from Kaohsiung to Kenting. The master is a Taiwanese son-in-law and his ancestry is Shanghai. He chatted on the road and talked about some of his life in Taiwan over the past few decades, and then reluctantly told us that their family will immigrate to Singapore next year. Although they are all people who love the island of Taiwan, they are now chaotic on the island. The situation disappointed them. We listened and expressed regret. After a few hours of driving, we checked into a homestay in the ancient city of Hengchun. My girlfriend rented an electric motorcycle with super battery life and drove me to Kenting Huanhai.

My feelings for Kenting come from a Taiwanese drama-"The Weather in Kenting is Sunny", Those friendships, loves, and ideals were all alive on this coastline. Those stories opened up my vision of this sea.

At the first stop around the sea, passing by the white sand beach, the filming location of the film "Youth Pie" directed by Ang Lee, the first piece of blue that greeted us made us excited and happy. All the way to go to Eluanbi, the southernmost point, Longpan Park, Sailing Rock, Houbi Lake, Windblown Sand... Until the evening, I had a snack on Kenting Street, and returned to Hengchun in the dark. In the middle of the navigation, I made a wrong route, and made repeated turns like a ghost hitting a wall.Fortunately, there is a surprise episode.

  • Hualien with heavy rain

In mid-to-late June, the trip caught up with the good weather for a few days, almost all of them were left to Kaohsiung and Kenting. On the next journey, we walked with rain all the way. Leaving from Hengchun, I booked a carpool from a travel agency from Kenting to Hualien on the Internet. I dragged my luggage into the car early in the morning. My sleepy nerves were awakened by the "18 bends on the mountain road". Passing the seaside railway station, pasture, Brown Avenue, a day's drive accompanied by comfortable light rain is quite comfortable.

At 10 o'clock in the evening, after visiting the city of Hualien. The owner of the homestay staying in is a super cute young lady. She enthusiastically recommends our delicious restaurant in Hualien and asks a car for us.

Night in Hualien

The next day in Hualien, we booked a business carpool, but we got a little surprise. The tour guide is really like Ashin, and the people are also fun and friendly. Full of joy. When I went to the Taroko mountain area, it suddenly began to rain heavily. We also encountered huge rockfalls on the mountain road. The "Axin" tour guide hurriedly left the rockfall area, exclaiming that he was hit But I’m happy~"

When I came back from Taroko, I played at the beach of Qixingtan, stepping on the rocks on the beach, mixed with all kinds of "treasures" that might be washed up from the sea. We even picked them up. Zhang large amount of Taiwan dollars. In the evening, I ate another delicious sushi with this "Qixingtan" reward. Thank you for the lucky little gift during this trip.

  • Meet Taipei

Played in Hualien for a day and a half,I bought a Taiwan Railway ticket at the train station and dragged my luggage to Taipei. I accidentally caught up with the HelloKitty number, and even the bento was stuck with a cute cat face.

Taipei is smaller and more crowded than expected. It feels completely different from the atmosphere in Tainan, but I can't tell the difference. When I came out of the homestay, it rained lightly in Taipei. We went to the art area, had an afternoon tea, and then waited leisurely for it to get dark. On the way to 101 to see the night view, I saw it from a distance, like a lit birthday candle, inexplicably cute.

and friends are looking for places to play around Taipei, because they like Hayao Miyazaki's "Span11span Spirited Away ", I decided to go to Jiufen. Take the Pingxi line railway from Jingtong to Pingxi and finally to Jiufen Old Street. Time is far away, my memory is a bit vague, I only remember that when the sky lantern was put on, I was filled with blessings to my relatives, but I forgot what was written on the wishing sign.

The cat at the station

In the evening in Jiufen, scattered lights lit up. We stood on the terrace, watching the mountains on one side and the sea on the other, warm and peaceful in our hearts.

Jiufen is the last stop in Taiwan, a more than one week trip, all the way from the south Crossing the island of Taiwan in the north, it seems to be relive the scenes in the youth movie story, fresh, warm, with a literary atmosphere.

Taiwan is a very suitable place for friends to travel together, laugh together, complain together, and forget the troubles of daily life together. For friendship in different places, such a trip has a sense of ritual for a period of time.

  • Long time no see Xiamen, goodbye here

leave Taiwan,Transferring to Xiamen, I deliberately set aside time to visit this island that once made me linger.

Time flies, memory is yellow. Looking through the travel photos at that time, the memory of flowing water is like a movie, and I think of every vivid smiling face.

May is over, and Mayday’s online concert is over. The "uncles" who were chatting and singing at the concert are going home to coax their children. Perhaps youth is short, and it is gone when struggling in the rebellious period; perhaps youth is very long, in the stubbornness of the post-80s, and in the post-adolescence who refuses to accept the old, it is still clear.

The precious treasures of life are hidden in the timeline of the advancement. But if the day is not old in May, the memory will not be old. May the older children born in the 80s always have their youth.
