In the Yuewang Temple in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, the four characters "loyalty to serve the country" are very eye-catching, which makes some tourists feel very confused: I have known that Yue Fei is "loyal to serve the country" since I was young. Could it be a typo? It turns out that the tattoo on Yue Fei's back is indeed "serving the country faithfully." In the "Biography of He Zhu" in "Song History", it is described that when He Zhu interrogated Yue Fei, he saw the four characters of Jiu Ni's "loyalty to serve the country" on his back, which deeply understands his skin.
So, why did the "loyalty to the country" recorded in the official history become the "loyalty to the country" as we now know it? According to some historical records about Yue Fei, writing "Serving the country with loyalty" as "Serving the country with loyalty" should be related to Song Gaozong and Zhao Gou.
In the war against the invasion of the Golden Soldiers, Yue Fei defeated the Golden Soldiers successively and made great achievements. In order to commend Yue Fei and to motivate the morale of the soldiers against the Jin Dynasty in the Southern Song Dynasty, Emperor Gaozong of the Song Dynasty gave Yue Fei the four characters "Jing Zhong Yue Fei" and asked his subordinates to make a banner with the words "Jing Zhong Yue Fei" for Yue Fei. Later, in the Ming and Qing dynasties, it spread to the present after being misunderstood again.
