Foreign media CBC reported on December 9 that Taylor · Swift is already one of the most popular musical performances of all time, and she is about to start a new artistic effort: directing a feature film. According to Entertainment Tonight, 32-year-old Swift will direct a film made by Searchlight Pictures, the studio said in a press release Friday.
Swift has also been a director before - the most recent one was a music video of her single "Anti-Hero", which she also starred in. Last year, she directed a short film for her 2012 song "All Too Well", which she re-recorded.
The Grammy Awards winner is currently re-recording the album she recorded in collaboration with the record company so that she can own the music herself. So she re-recorded and released All Too Well again. She started the project after her album was sold to Hollywood artist agent Scooter Braun, which she said was done without her knowledge.

On Thursday, just the day before her feature film was announced, Swift released a behind-the-scenes short film about the shooting of the "All Too Well" video. On Instagram, she said "the first seed of this short film was planted ten years ago."
Swift also co-directed a music video of her 2019 song "You Need to Calm down" with Drew ·Kilch, which won the Best Director Award at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMA).
