" ""Flower " I don't know what will be changed by Wang Kar-wai "? Jin Yucheng told me that I can't watch it."
A few days ago, Hsu Zidong gossiped in a cultural podcast program.
novel "Flower Flowers" won almost all literary awards in the Chinese circle, and then Wong Kar-wai won the right to adapt film and television among his competitors.
After 7 years of hiding, Wong Kar-wai finally released a small piece of flowers recently. The old man who talks with Hu Ge in the
shot is Jin Yucheng, the author of the novel "Fanhua".
Jin Yucheng x Hu Ge Stills
Jin Yucheng certainly knows that film and television dramas are the creations of others, and his expression is very restrained: "It is also filming for others. It is of course more reassuring to shoot for Wong Kar-wai."
The novel "Flowers" not only has no tendency to film and television as Wong Kar-wai said, but also some readers said they can't chew at all.
There are a bunch of people who can’t tell who is who, and there are no lines of dialogue, crowded passages, and read one by one, two big ones.
Another part of readers like it tightly.
spoken language, freely breaking sentences without modification, no filtering, one thing comes and one thing comes and one thing comes and one thing comes and one thing comes and one thing comes and one person comes out, one person comes out, one man and a woman in the secular world, a piece of chicken and a dog, and after his death, it is so indescribable that it is piled up, and it doesn't care about anything grass, snakes and gray lines. One thing jumps in a hurry without a result, and one person doesn't know where to end for no reason, and his life is almost over.
Even if your experience has nothing similar to the characters in it, all kinds of fragments will be brought out. Who meets who unexpectedly, who is caught off guard against separation. The whole story is noisy, and I relive the old dreams of "Flower Flowers" and sigh and feel sad.
come and go, and there is no difference in warmth and sadness. Jin Yucheng is a master of Ukiyo-e painting.

The Ukiyo-e of Jin Yucheng's personal life began in Shanghai, where he was born in 1952.
father "eats government meal" and mother fudan graduated. Jin Woo-cheng was born for a period of time when his parents were relatively comfortable, so he was originally called Jin Shushu .
Jin Yucheng's parents
Jin's father, like a character in the movie, left the big family of Lili in Suzhou and went to Shanghai to become a white area agent under Pan Hannian. He was arrested by the Japanese and was rescued by luck. He was censored and his home was searched a few years after the founding of the People's Republic of China. believed that his life was a Waterloo-like ending.
The scared golden mother has always hoped that her husband could write safely as a career.
Jinfu has unusual information fragment search and text review capabilities. Perhaps it is precisely because of this sensitivity that exceeds the needs of the profession that he is not a good agent.
" On the night of July 29, 1942, I went to Fuxifang after dinner. It was very hot. Xinzheng and I walked up to the north-facing balcony and looked at Fuxi Road. Opposite was a foreign tomb mountain, which was dark and dark. The luminous light vaguely illuminated the white marble tombstones. Somehow, I felt melancholy and unhappy. I walked back to the spicy side at around 12 o'clock. On Fide Road, it was about 1 o'clock when I went to bed. Not long after, the sound of the electric ringtone in front of me suddenly sounded. In a daze, I thought who had given birth to a child. The sound of leather shoes on the back door was also sounded. When I saw it, the Japanese rushed into the back door..."
This immersive review of the scene was included by Jin Yucheng in the book "Looking Back" recalling his parents' past.
Fortunately, this ability to salvage memory fragments and restore them in detail was inherited by Jin Yucheng.
teen Jin Yucheng Right
Also likes text is Jin Yucheng's mother. In a letter to her husband, she mentioned Jin Yucheng, who was 3 years old:
"Shushu is very good at speaking now... Last Sunday, I took Shushu to see a doctor. Someone led a white horse by. Shushu stared at the horse for a long time. When I took a nap, I asked a string of questions: Why is the horse white? Is there a green horse? Where can I pull it? Why does the horse carry a bag of bags? What is in the bag..."
Jin Shushu, who first saw a horse, didn't know that he would be a groom on the black soil 2,000 kilometers away for a while in his life.
"Ma" Jin Yucheng's painting
In 1955, Jin's father was arrested in the Pan Hannian case and his whole family was marginalized. By the time he was school age, Jin Yucheng entered a "new thing in society" - a private primary school.
At that time, it happened to be the peak of Shanghai's schooling in the 1950s. Young grandmothers, old aunts, and young mothers who were familiar with writing and could write chalk could act as private teachers and give up private support for education.
Jin Yucheng savored this strange experience from the perspective of Shanghai Sheng in "Fanhua":
Ruijin Road female landlord gave her home to class in her living room, and she was reluctant to turn on the electric light on the cloudy day... The floor slab drips, and the umbrella is allowed... Up to the third section, the fragrance wafts out from the stove, and the teacher teaches class while eating hairtails... A man came in, the teacher took off his glasses, and the fragrance was everywhere... Every semester, he switched to several classroom locations and changed to several teachers to go to Chinese arithmetic, and used to entering and leaving alleys...
Jin Yucheng's home has also moved many times, from exotic villas to the spice factory smelling and the iron oxide pigment factory with a huge gap in lifestyle and environment.
parents have no time to control them. Like Husheng, Abao and Xiaomao in "Fanhua", he skipped school and walked around the alley, making friends with different family backgrounds, and gathering stamps, watching movies, raising goldfish, and sending postcards together.
Jin Yucheng, who was wandering in secular life, was wrapped in gossip, human feelings, clothes, and home things that came to the public, and was curious about what was happening behind the windows.
Silverware, food, magazines, movies, swivel chairs in barber shops, and red wine glasses in front of lattice windows are all objects that are carefully enumerated in future works.
Parks, shops, cafes, bus routes, Shanghai's geographical space forms an accurate picture in the mind, becoming the GPS of the jungle of Shanghai in his novel.
Old Shanghai "Flowers" Stills
people, spaces, objects, and smells are packed together, ambiguous, sticky, and alienated, and with extremely fine grain size, it paints the background color of the young Jin Yucheng.
He and his friends, just like when 10-year-old Abao and 6-year-old Betty climbed onto the roof at the beginning of "Flower Flowers", they still don't know where the torrent of time will rush them.
◼Fate
Fork of fate often depends on the choice of one second. This is true in Jin Yucheng's works, and so is his experience.
1968, 16-year-old Jin Yuchenghua chose the latter between Yunnan and Heilongjiang in one second.
The reason is that "Yunnan farms all year round, and there is no need to work in the northeast in winter."
Middle school dropouts, unemployed idle young people, carrying camphor wood boxes, old-fashioned suitcases, embroidered silk quilts, Shanghai food stuffed with parents for bags, and underground communication translated novels, collectively put them on a Su-style farm in Nenjiang .
Youths from all over the country and cities are mixed together, "The grudges and hatreds of many years are endless."
Jin Yucheng Reader Meeting
Jin Yucheng grows corn and soybeans, builds houses, loads kilns, logs wood, grinds tofu, and makes vermicelli. Almost all local families have entered the kangs, repairs stoves, skillfully sets horses, and even makes coffins.
He tried lying into the coffin and waiting for the lid to be covered, "I found that it was not ordinary black inside." He wrote down this detail in his 1986 novel "Bird in the Wind".
1986 "Bird in the Wind" was published in Shanghai Literature
Realize that you may not be able to leave for the rest of your life. When a person enters a stage of peace and hopelessness, he will accept details, be penetrated by the so-called skills, and even have the meaning of investigating things and becoming aware of things.
Jin Yucheng's craftsmanship talent was polished, and the craftsman-like detailed carving covers in his works later originated from this.
wrote a letter to his family and friends in Shanghai and became his spiritual sustenance. The letter not only contains detailed text descriptions, but also includes fine illustrations to explain how the roof and large kang in the north are constructed.
A friend replied: It is very well written, you can write novels.
shes planted seeds in Jin Yucheng's heart.
Jin Yucheng's "Fanhua"
Many years later, "Fanhua" won the Mao Dun Literature Award , and the unit's concierge handed a letter to Jin Yucheng.
This friend who has lived overseas for a long time congratulated him on winning the award in the letter and wrote in English:
"You should fully enjoy your happiness."
The tide of returning to the city has begun, and some people are willing to return to Shanghai even if they are harmed. Jin Yucheng, who had stomach disease, , took barium meals 5 times and pretended to help his friend have a physical examination. After the doctor saw it through, he did not report him, but just told him not to play with his life again.
In despair, Jin Yucheng felt that he could also accept going back to his hometown in Lili, Suzhou, and accepting his aunt's introduction to a blind date with a local girl in Lili. My father shot the telegram as soon as possible, and the original text is as follows:
"Even a fairy beauty can't meet." The words
changed Jin Yucheng's trajectory again. After spending more than 7 years in Northeast China, he finally retired to Shanghai ill.
After nearly 8 years of experience in Northeast China, Jin Yucheng's attitude is very complicated.
He said in his early novel "Bowl" that it would be useless to regret it. In fact, there was a 2% chance that the neighborhood committee would mobilize and not go to the countryside if it was beaten to death.
But a few friends who did not go to the countryside worked with disabled young people in a deserted and deserted house for eight years. Will they regret it when the educated youth come back in a lively manner? No one can explain it clearly.
"I can feel the narrow perspective of those peers who have avoided going to the countryside , but I would rather stay in the processing group. But if I don't go to the Northeast, I can't write "Flowers"."
80s Northeast
0,000 words and thousands of words, people only belong to themselves, and they can't even see clearly.
Because he couldn't see clearly, Jin Yucheng's later writing intention deliberately stripped away from the critical intention, and naturally described the stories like daily life, and even 's psychological description was omitted.
The road of life is actually very narrow. Everyone is a pinion in the great era. Should you turn it? How to turn? Where to go? As the cause and condition flows, no one is better than anyone else.
so Jin Yucheng's writing is written gently, treating himself as a storyteller, has no values, no propositions, does not beautify or remedy, does not enhance meaning and connotation, and only narrative exudes power.
At that time, young people who came back from rural areas in various places were like mercury draining the ground, shrimps had shrimp roads, and crabs had crabs roads. They found a location in Shanghai again, and most of them went to factories to work.
Jin Yucheng, who grew from 1.6 meters to 1.8 meters in Northeast China for 8 years, also lived in the Lilan watch parts processing group after returning to Shanghai.
Shanghai Laolilan
essay collection "The Year of Shutdown" There is an article "Smith Ship Clock":
"My master's surname is Qin, a level 8 fitter in the watch factory, wears a clock magnifying glass on his forehead, speaks Ningbo accent Shanghai dialect. In the early 1980s, I stepped into the workshop with Master Qin, rows of Shanghai female workers in front of me, making parts under the fluorescent light."
Jin Yucheng continued to make a living by his skills, and he also made small and small houses like his contemporaries.
My friend made a sofa when he got married in the early 80s, and Jin Yucheng learned it when he helped. Put the sacks and brown silk into high-end fabrics and apply brass sofa nails and gold wire, "very interesting".
But the times soon changed drastically, reformed and opened up , products were replaced, factories, machines, and masters disappeared.
people look for a new position again, and a generation of people are full of holes.
Shanghai is like a big sponge, and many waves of water have been sucked dry, and there is no trace.
On a snowy day, Jin Yucheng was moved and wrote an article to recall the heavy snow in the north. He hit it with one shot, and then entered the district cultural center to work.
"The Lost River" and " Fangdao " won the novel awards of " Budding " in 1986 and 1987, and "Bird in the Wind" won the novel award of "Shanghai Literature" in 1988. The subject matter is all Northern memories, and some people thought he was a Northeast writer.
Not long after, Jin Yucheng was transferred to "Shanghai Literature" as editor. It was the sacred era of literature, and Jin Woo-sung, who was in his 30s, also hoped that he would write something more.
However, after "Qinghan" was published in "Harvest" in 1991, Jin Yucheng, who was an editor during the day and wrote at night, became more and more picky, and the sentences he wrote were not pleasant to change.
Since then, I have been working hard to edit, from a younger generation to the oldest magazine. What else should I do with
? Jin Woo-cheng admitted that he was lucky enough.
◼Last train
Bible says that God gives everyone three chances.
"It depends on whether you can catch it. I may not catch anything. "Fanhua" is my last train." Jin Yucheng said.
From the early 90s to the new century, Shanghai and even China grew rapidly, which was also the peak period of Jin Yucheng's life.
Under the economic boom, people's interests have shifted to the pursuit of wealth, and literary magazines have declined.
When it was a hot topic in going abroad, his companion La Jin Yucheng, who went to the countryside, went to New Zealand : "How is it? Go out and have a look?"
seems that everyone is looking for opportunities. When you do business, he invests from Hong Kong and the United States, and is in full swing.
is not only Shanghai, but also in "The Story of the Editorial Department" and "I Love My Home", there are also plots of going into the market, running various relationships, engaging in documents, and giving gifts.
Jin Yucheng was also involved in dinner parties of different purposes.
90s were like a flowing table . In the "Stable Foundation of Life", dinner parties came one after another.
Stills of "I Love My Home"
A colleague recalled that in various dinner parties, Jin Yucheng was always bystanders, just like when he was a child, he wanted to explore the story behind the windows, "I live in this world, and I especially want to hear stories."
set up people, bureau masters, bureau nurses, guest attendants, vases, and many characters.
divine jokes, telling jokes, doing business, meaningless gossip, small actions, eyes, gathering of officials and businessmen, red men and green women, mixed with fish and dragons, and extremely exaggerated.
Jin Yucheng still remembers that in 1995 and 1996, Shanghai Zhapu Road and Huanghe Road were crowded with hotels, and the garbage that set off fireworks was half a foot thick, and the largest fireworks box was the size of a single bed.
"The era has entered one carnival after another, and Shanghai is like a torrent rolling."
"Flower Flowers" X Wong Kar-wai
In the trailer of the TV series "Flower Flowers", it is like a reservoir opening, releasing the 1992 Yellow River Road past. This is in line with Jin Yucheng's wish.
When he was asked when he "I hope Wong Kar-wai will shoot what daily life in Shanghai", he clearly said:
"On the Yellow River Road in the 1990s, those magnificent colors and pink lights alternate... all kinds of 'animal plants and microorganisms ' have come out, which is the 'market' of Shanghai dialect'."
love to spend the whole day with chat. However, there will always be an end in the fun. After the peanut tree, the flowers fall.
On any day, some people are gone and some are missing. The familiar old Shanghai neighborhood has also become unfamiliar with urban renewal.
This feeling of prosperity reached its peak after Jin Yucheng saw an old lady. He recognized the old lady as a beauty in a alley when she was young, but now she is hawking on the street and no one cares about it.
Jin Yucheng suddenly felt that he had to write it.
There is no flower for a hundred days, and the article is all confused at the end. If you don’t write it, all this will really disappear.
In May 2011, he posted a post on "Niantang.com" under the pseudonym "Going to the Attic alone" to write about the people and things he had experienced and witnessed.
"Niantang.com" is now offline. The old version of the homepage
didn't expect that netizens responded enthusiastically, and the update was a little slower, so they urged uncle to talk about the past quickly. Under the interaction, Jin Yucheng is in better condition. My computer was broken, so I ran into the Internet cafe in the early morning to continue writing.
5 months later, there were 330,000 words, temporarily named "Shanghai Abao".
After many modifications, it was renamed "Flowers" to mean "Flowers bloom and fall at the end."
"Flower Flowers" was born and won the Mao Dun Literature Award in 2012. Jin Yucheng was 60 years old.
original intention was to rob one's family, but I didn't expect to create a country.
Jin Yucheng said: "Someone told me: Lao Jin, this book can be your pillow.
means I can die. I said I agree. But I really want to write a novel. "Fanhua" was written inadvertently, and the best state is unintentional triggering."
Another 10 years have passed. In 2017, Jin Woo-sung wrote the story of his parents into a non-fiction "Looking Back".
At this age, he understood that all he could write was a very small proportion, and he didn't even dare to say that he understood Shanghai. Just write down a few square meters of his foothold.
Historical stinginess and conciseness are as precious as gold, and it has been written in one stroke for hundreds of years.
What people faced with short survival for decades is compressed and disappeared in an instant after death. There is no meaning, this is the essence of life. Only in this way can we cherish the beauty of life more.
Jin Yucheng borrowed Fellini's words:
Rome is a mother with more children. She is indifferent. You can come when you come and go when you leave.
Shanghai so. This is the case in the world.
