6. "Jurassic World 3: Domination" (2022)
After the incident in "Jurassic World 2: The Lost Kingdom", dinosaurs and humans are now living together. The climax of the "World" trilogy brings back the cast of the previous "Jurassic" movie to clarify everything.
Although Sam Neil , Laura Dunn and Jeff Gowbrun bring interesting nostalgia to this story, the movie itself is an unconscious process from one action sequence to the next. It even prevents us from starting to discuss that huge subplot.
5. "Jurassic World" (2015)
"Jurassic Park" series is essentially about the past that humans cannot forget, and the terrible consequences that occur when this situation loses control. Let's call it weaponized nostalgia.
In Jurassic World, this concept becomes very mysterious, but not in a cool, conscious way: 22 years after the events of the first movie, humans built a dinosaur theme park. Both Jurassic World Park and "Jurassic World" movies profit by exploiting nostalgia, making millions of dollars by taking advantage of human failure to learn from the past.
Chris Pratt Half-believing accent is more real than this movie, but we admit we were happy all the time.
4. " Jurassic Park 3" (2001)
"Jurassic Park 3" directed by Joe Johnston, director of "Captain America: Avengers", has some memorable and valuable things. Spinosaurus is a substitute for Tyrannosaurus rex that appears too many times, and the entire "birdcage" plot is actually fascinating.
But it can never get rid of the fact that it may not exist in the first place. Sam Neal’s Alan Grant is forced to return to Dinosaur Island and, shockingly, nothing goes as planned. The ending is hasty – as if everyone involved in the film wants to escape it, not the characters want to leave the island – and disappointingly, the frightening Spinosaurus vs. Tyrannosaurus Rex’s CGI isn’t worthy of having Rock 'em Sock 'em-style toys as we grew up.
In addition, this film misses an opportunity to explore what PTSD looks like for someone who was almost eaten by a dinosaur. The film would rather show only Grant's hallucination about a velociraptor who called his name.
3. "Jurassic Park 2: The Lost World" (1997)
" Jurassic " The first sequel, "The Lost World", has received positive reviews for being directed by Steven Spielberg again - some critics even believe that although it is far less good than the first movie, it is actually better in its director.
This orientation keeps the tension of the entire movie rising until the infamous San Diego finale. The return of Jeff Goblenren and the addition of Julianne Moore also helped the film, and in all respects, the film should have been a masterpiece. But a bad script confirmed that we were disappointed before we started filming.
2. "Jurassic World 2: The Lost Kingdom" (2018)
"Jurassic" sequels is that none of them can prove their existence. It's easy to repeat the same concept over and over again, but it's actually hard to make it valuable.
But "Lost Kingdom" is the most self-conscious of all the "Jurassic" sequels: people are really stupid, we keep getting ourselves into the same situation, and that's the point. The film brings this naturally to the point, probably the only sequel that really improves the meaning at the end of the film.
This makes it not only better than the previous one, but also the best sequel in the series (even if that doesn't mean anything).
Although the actual situation of this movie is not as clever as they think (dinosaurs are metaphors for global warming, civil rights and other social issues!), it at least tries to dig into some of these ideas. This creates a logical question: Do these movies need such recognition? But we would rather have a certain understanding of the world they live in rather than unconsciously.
1. "Jurassic Park" (1993)
Spielberg 's original movie, adapted from the novel by Michael Clayton , is a classic entertainment blockbuster, matching sentiment and wisdom.
and CGI itself is also a pioneering Hollywood . George Lucas calls the movie aware that computer technology finally catches up with his thoughts about the Star Wars prequel.
This movie not only promotes possibilities on the big screen, but also opens the door to the way blockbusters are produced in the next few decades.
