September 17 this year is the 22nd National Defense Education Day. In order to strengthen the national defense awareness of young people, further improve campus national defense education, enhance the national defense concept of the whole district, and create a strong atmosphere of caring about national defense and military construction, Meijiang District held a national defense education theme essay and painting competition with the theme of "Starting a new journey of the times, patriotism and strengthening the military, and creating a new chapter, casting shields and strengthening defense for the people".
From September 17 to October 14, students in primary and secondary schools in Meijiang District can create in accordance with the submission requirements based on the theme of the 22nd National Defense Education Day. After the works are collected by the school, the relevant units will set up an evaluation committee to conduct preliminary screening and comprehensive review of the collected works, and combine them with the results of online voting to obtain the final result.
This event is guided by the Meijiang District People's Armed Forces Department, the District Party Committee Propaganda Department, the District Party Committee National Security Office, the District Education Bureau, and the District Defense Line Office, and is sponsored by the Xiyang National Defense Education Center of Meijiang District. The event will include five first prizes, ten second prizes, fifteen third prizes, and twenty excellent prizes. The supervisor and organizer jointly award the honorary certificates, and the works will be displayed and broadcasted in mainstream media in provinces and cities.
