Li Xi likes railways, so he applied for transportation majors in college. He also likes photography. He has picked up a camera to shoot railways since he was 14 years old.
In order to find a camera with the railway and the Great Wall in the same frame, he went to the Badaling to collect folk songs every time he had time. Even if he found the ideal shooting angle, he still needed transparent weather and appropriate light. Li Xi said that the work "The Train to Spring" captured the short-term shooting of the most prosperous flowers and air in Badaling Mountain.
In order to record special scenes, it often takes a long wait. In order to take pictures of Qinglong Bridge in heavy snow, Li Xi went into the mountain to stay one night in advance, and set off for Qinglong Bridge Station before dawn the next day. "When I photographed the first train of the Beijing-Zhangjiakou Railway passing in the morning, I felt that the hardships of the night were worth it." Li Xi said that now, he has inspected and photographed more than 60 railways in 20 provinces and regions. The reason why he is committed to recording the development and changes of China's railway is because recording the present is also an important form of inheriting civilization and respecting culture.
He mentioned that the Beijing-Zhangjiakou High-speed Railway, which is very close to the Beijing-Zhangjiakou Railway, is the first intelligent high-speed railway in my country with a speed of 350 kilometers per hour. It is also an important transportation support facility for the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics , and played an important role during the competition.
