Tan Tan, a well-known writer and former vice chairman of the Chinese Writers Association, was appointed as the honorary dean of the School of Humanities. Zhu Chuanqu, president of Hunan University of Science and Technology, issued a letter of appointment to him. Tan Tan said at the appointment ceremony that as the honorary dean of the School of Humanities, he will contribute to the school’s literary education, explore and promote the fighting spirit of the Chinese nation through mining literature research, and use the mining literature spirit to infect and cultivate people who can speak new words well. The creative talents of China Stories in the Times have made the Mining Literature Research Center the main place for telling Chinese stories and spreading the voice of China. The newly established Mine Literature Research Center is a comprehensive research institution integrating literary research, literary creation criticism, writing talent training and social services. In the future, it will be committed to investigating and systematically studying well-known writers who came out of the mines across the country. His works have opened up a unique research field of mining literature. It also integrates mining literature with emerging literary forms, collaborates with the Mining Literature Research Center and the School of Resources, Environment and Safety Engineering, and intersects mining literature with mining engineering to produce mining literature in the new era and promote the sustainable development of mining literature research.
At the meeting, we also invited Honorary Chairman of Hunan Provincial Writers Association Shui Yunxian , Cai Chehai , Liang Ruichen , former chairman of the Education, Science, Culture and Health Committee of Hunan Provincial People's Congress, Vice President of Chinese Poetry Society Liang Eryuan, Hunan Provincial People's Congress Shi Guangming, the former chairman of the Overseas Chinese Foreign Affairs Committee, and others are visiting professors of the School of Humanities. They hope to jointly build a strong, warm and down-to-earth mining literature research center and jointly promote the prosperity of literary creation in the new era.
"Literature has the special value of caring for human beings. Mining literature is a special form of modern and contemporary literature and a special window to show the image of China. Mining literature research has a special fate with the history of Hunan University of Science and Technology." He hopes that the School of Humanities will take the opportunity of hiring Mr. Tan Tan as the honorary dean and establishing the Mining Literature Research Center to continue to increase the intensity of literary research and criticism and lead the development of the School of Humanities’ disciplinary characteristics.
