Xiaomi will release the Xiaomi 12T series with a 200 million pixel camera on October 4, and today, the company announced that it will also launch a new tablet on the same day, known as the Redmi Pad. The Xiaomi 12T series overseas version will be released first in Munich, Germany, and the Redmi Pad will be released first in India through an event that will begin at noon local time.

Redmi Pad is advertised as "the right choice for entertainment, gaming, e-learning and browsing". The official shared pictures show that the Redmi Pad will be available in a variety of colors (graphite grey, moonlight silver and mint green), and an 8-megapixel camera on the back panel.

Xiaomi hasn't disclosed any specifications of the Redmi Pad, but previous leaks show that the tablet will be equipped with MediaTek Helio G99 SoC, running MIUI based on Android 12, with a minimum of 4GB of memory and 128GB of storage.

Redmi Pad is equipped with a 10.61-inch 90Hz LCD monitor with a resolution of 2000x1200 pixels, a built-in 8000mAh battery, and a charging power of 18W. However, the maximum power of , the adapter sold together, is 22.5W.

The tablet will also have four Dolby Atmos certified speakers, with an 8-megapixel camera on the front with a 105° viewing angle.

It is worth mentioning that the above mentioned specifications are limited to the Wi-Fi model. It is rumored that the cellular network-enabled version will be equipped with different screens (11.2 inches) and batteries (7800 mAh), but we don't know which version will be launched on Tuesday for the time being.
