Nvidia launches RTX A2000 single-slot half-height graphics card, which can be easily installed in small workstations

NVIDIA has just launched an RTX A2000 graphics card for small professional workstations, featuring a single slot, half-height, single turbo fan design. Although it does not have the title of Quadro, it is the smallest official product based on Ampere GPU so far. It is very suitable for professionals who want to take advantage of ray tracing (RT) and NVIDIA artificial intelligence (AI) features.

In terms of specifications, RTX A2000 has 3328 CUDA cores, 6GB GDDR6 video memory with ECC verification (frequency 6001 MHz).

On paper, it seems to be more powerful than the RTX 3050 mobile GPU, while power consumption is only 70W. Considering that the PCIe slot supports a standard 75W output, it does not even need an external auxiliary power supply.

benefits from the latest Ampere architecture, which aims to improve the performance experience of 3D modeling and rendering software such as Blender and Autodesk 3ds Max.

In addition, RTX A2000 is equipped with the second-generation RT Core, the third-generation Tensor Core supporting AI applications, and supports PCIe 4.0.

Despite its compact, low-key design, RTX A2000 still provides four DisplayPort 1.4 ports on the back panel, which is very suitable for workstations with multiple monitors.

Whether it is remote office or 3D design, the 2.7×6.6 inches (approximately 6.9×16.8 cm) RTX A2000 can be easily installed in various small workstations (almost only half of the public version RTX 3090).

Currently NVIDIA is cooperating with vendors including ASUS , Dell , HP , Lenovo , etc.In order to bring the relevant workstations to the market from October, the price may be about 450 US dollars (about 2917 RMB).
