1. Preface
I have seen and played with it a lot. Many cases only need to take a simple look at how to install, what to pay attention to, and how hardware compatibility is performed. Apart from some small details, there will be basically no surprises.
But this case really makes people feel bright. The structural design of the chassis is very surprising, and there are some details. I have indeed put in a lot of effort, and then the final lighting effect gives people a bright feeling. Few chassis will make mushrooms feel like this.
This chassis is the DARK CUBE of Antiac , a mATX-specification chassis.
2. Antec Dark Cube M-ATX chassis Unboxing
▼ The packaging of the chassis is colored, with color printing on the front and the name of the chassis at the bottom.
▼The back of the carton is the explosion diagram of the chassis, which introduces the various structures and details of the chassis in detail.
▼The side of the carton has detailed parameters of the chassis, and some compatibility parameter introductions.
▼In addition to the chassis, there is also a glass side panel, screw box and instruction manual in the carton.
. Antec Dark Cube M-ATX chassis Appearance
▼The appearance of the chassis is very interesting, the overall shape is a forward-tilted parallelogram, which is very personal.
▼The front of the chassis is very complex and uses the star grille design, which looks very delicate.
▼Look close to it, the inside of the quadrilateral is a metal dustproof mesh, taking into account both the shape and the air inlet.
▼In addition, there is a raised shape where the quadrilaterals intersect. The surface has a mirror design. Slightly rotate, you can see some different light and shadow effects, which is very design-like.
▼The top of the front of the chassis is an IO panel, two audio interfaces, two USB3.2 interfaces and a Type-C interface. In addition, this interface is placed symmetrically, which looks very comfortable.
▼The panel on the front of the chassis is removable and replaceable. There is a snap at the bottom. With a light press, the panel on the front can be removed, which is very simple.
▼ A glass cover is included in the carton. If you install this glass cover, the overall feeling is completely different from the former.
▼The side of the chassis has a huge glass side panel, and there are snap-ins on the upper and lower sides to support quick removal.
▼The bottom of the chassis, on the aluminum alloy frame, there is also a slender grille with a metal dustproof mesh inside.
▼ The rear of the chassis looks very unfamiliar with the IO interface on the right side, and the PCIe baffle is on the top, which is interesting.
▼There is also a handle on the upper part of the power opening, which is designed to facilitate the extraction of the internal frame of the chassis.
▼The PCIe bezel of the chassis is placed at the top, and there is also an auxiliary fixed metal bezel on the left.
▼The other side of the chassis is also a huge side-transparent glass side panel, which is also fixed with snap buckles to support quick removal.
▼The top of the chassis also has a slender style grille, with a metal dustproof net inside, which is convenient for ventilation and heat dissipation.
▼The top of the chassis has a huge glass roof, which is interesting.
▼The front has two buttons, the larger one is the boot key, and the smaller one is the chassis light-effect control key by default.
▼The bottom of the chassis has long rubber anti-slip pads on both sides, and a grille design on the left to dissipate heat from the power supply.
▼The frame inside the chassis is designed to pull out. If you unscrew the four fixing screws at the rear of the chassis, the internal frame of the chassis can be easily pulled out.
▼The upper and lower sides of the chassis are long guide rails to assist in fixing the frame inside the chassis. The air duct inside the chassis is very simple, just go in and out directly.
▼The frame inside the chassis is also very interesting, it looks like the more familiar design of the bottom independent power supply bin.
▼But the back of the frame looks a little different.
▼The left side of the internal frame is used to fix the motherboard, and there is a 120mm specification chassis fan bit at the back.
▼There are two fan positions on the front side of the internal frame. Here you can fix two chassis fans, or you can install water cooling drains.
▼There is a small PCB board on the top of the front side of the chassis. There are many expansion interfaces on the back of this small board, three 4Pin fan powered interfaces, and three 5V three-pin ARGB lighting-effective sockets.
▼The back space of the chassis is still very sufficient, so it is not difficult to manage the line.
▼There is an opening on the lower left corner of the back, which facilitates the wiring of the CPU-assisted power supply cable of the motherboard.
▼Simplely measure the thickness of the hardware of the internal frame of the chassis, which is about 1.74mm. This thickness is still very exaggerated, and the overall feels super hard to the touch.
4. Antiac Dark Cube M-ATX chassis Installation
▼ Here is the installation experience to see how this chassis experiences.
▼The motherboard is directly inverted and fixed to the right side of the frame, and the water-cooled ferry is installed on the left side of the frame. By the way, remember to place the water pipe of the water-cooled ferry on the lower side, so that it will not affect the installation of the graphics card.
▼Then install the graphics card, Yingchi 's RTX3090 Star Glory OC, this card has a very beautiful appearance, white fan cover, supports RGB lighting effect, and supports motherboard synchronization.
▼ The graphics card is directly fixed to the uppermost part of the chassis, fixed horizontally, with air inlet on the upper part, and blowing air toward the lower part.
▼ After fixing the graphics card, install the power supply, MSI 's MPG A850GPCIE5. The power supply has a very beautiful appearance, with two aluminum alloy decorative parts on the side, one in silver and the other in black, with exquisite workmanship.
▼The design of the heat dissipation grille on the side of the power supply is also very interesting. The left side is made of silver aluminum alloy material, the heat dissipation grille is completely flat, and the cooling fan is hidden under the grille, and the installation compatibility is first-class.
▼The power tail, in addition to the power socket, there is also a Zero Fan button, which can control the power supply cooling fan, allowing it to stop when the power supply is low and reduce standby noise.
▼After the power supply is fixed, plug in the power supply interfaces of each part.
▼Then push the frame into the chassis and the overall installation is completed.
▼The appearance of the whole machine is still very beautiful. The front grille is paired with side-transparent glass, which is good.
▼ Turn on the computer, light up at once, perfect.
▼The grille part on the front of the chassis can display the lighting effects of the cold exhaust fan inside the chassis.
▼The bottom of the grille at the front of the chassis is also light-effective, with an Antec LOGO, which will light up the white LED light when it is turned on, which is very exquisite.
▼In addition, the four corners of the front of the chassis also have ARGB lighting effects, which are just right in embellishment.
▼Mushroom tried to replace the cover on the front of the chassis with a glass cover. It felt that the overall texture of the chassis was even better. The lighting effect of the ARGB fan on the front of the chassis is clearer and it feels more beautiful.
▼ Going a little sideways a little, you can see the RGB lighting effect on the four corners of the glass side panel in the front of the chassis. It feels that this lighting effect is more suitable for this glass side panel.
▼The bottom of the glass side panel also has a special area, leaving a place for the LOGO of the inner side.
▼The side of the chassis is transparent to the side of the chassis, and it has blackened the inside of the chassis, so that wires and other things are basically invisible, and only various hardware can be seen.
▼ Water cooling is MSI's ice 240R white customized version water cooling. There is MSI's iconic magic dragon logo in the middle of the water cooling head, which supports ARGB lighting effect and can be synchronized on the motherboard, and the effect is not bad. However, this motherboard inverted design can also be reversed by water-cooled head, so the magic dragon logo in the middle of the water-cooled head is coming.
▼The glass top plate on the top of the chassis can directly expose the lighting effect of the graphics card.
▼Look close to it, the overall texture is quite good.
. Antiac Dark Cube M-ATX chassis Test
▼A list of the entire machine configuration, the processor is 12400, the motherboard is MSI's B660M mortar WIFI D5, and the graphics card is Yingchi's RTX3090 Star Glory OC. The overall configuration is still very strong.
▼Simplely run a test, with an overall score of 196W, including 54.1W processor and 86.5W graphics card, and good performance.
▼Daily standby test, the processor temperature is around 31℃, south bridge 59℃, graphics card core 7℃, solid state 41℃.
▼Simplely run the stress test of CPU-Z. The processor power consumption is about 60W, the full core turbo frequency is 4.0GHz, the temperature is 47℃, the south bridge is 62℃, the graphics card core is 41℃, and the solid state is 44℃.
▼Single baking FPU test, the processor power consumption is about 85W, the full core turbo frequency is 4.0GHz, the temperature is 54℃, the south bridge is 64℃, the graphics card core is 41℃, and the solid state is 47℃.
▼ Then I ran a Dmark stress test, TS mode, I didn't run the first time, and the frame rate was 95.5%.
▼The core temperature of the graphics card is up to 84℃, and the temperature of the processor is very stable, around 43℃.
▼Other hardware temperatures inside the chassis, the south bridge is 82℃, the solid state is 63℃, and there is accumulated heat inside the chassis.
▼ Here is a chassis fan installed at the rear of the chassis, Deshang Dejingjie Silent Wings 4 120mm PWM fan. There are 9 fan blades, and the surface of the fan blade has a complex corrugated design, which can provide a good noise reduction effect. In addition, the motor in the middle of the fan is very large, and the six-pole fan motor is more stable when rotating.
▼The installation of the fan is quite simple. Combined with the silicone shock-absorbing installation component, it can achieve rapid installation without tools.
▼Power the plastic shaft directly into the silicone shock-absorbing installation component, and the chassis fan can be fixed very easily.
▼After installing a chassis fan at the rear of the chassis, run the 3Dmark pressure test again, and the frame rate is around 97.7%, which is very stable.
▼ The core temperature of the graphics card dropped by 10℃, stably at around 74℃, and the temperature of the processor also decreased significantly, fluctuating around 35℃.
▼ Other hardware inside the chassis also had very obvious cooling. The south bridge temperature was 69℃ and the solid temperature was 52℃, which made the cooling obvious.
. Summary
Antiac Dark Cube This mATX case is still very interesting, and the exterior design and internal structure design are very creative. The overall appearance of the chassis is very creative, like a forward-tilted parallelogram. There is a large area of side-transparent glass on both sides and on the top of the chassis, which can well display the hardware inside the chassis. There is a large area of air inlet on the front of the chassis to ensure air inlet inside the chassis.
The inside of the chassis is a complete metal frame, the motherboard adopts a flip design, and the graphics card is fixed to the top of the chassis, which is still very interesting. There are two chassis fan positions on the front of the internal frame, which can support the installation of 240 cold rows, or two 120mm-specification chassis fans. At the rear of the chassis, a 120mm-specification chassis fan can also be installed. In terms of cooling design, this chassis basically uses front-in and rear-out chassis air ducts. If there is a water-cooled hood installed at the front of the chassis, it will affect the air inlet in the front of the chassis. At this time, it is best to install a chassis fan at the rear of the chassis to exhaust the air to the outside, which will better assist other hardware inside the chassis to dissipate heat.
Thank you everyone!
