In the mobile phone image sensor market, the products of Sony and Samsung are still mainstream, especially Samsung is more aggressive in high-pixel technology, and has successively launched 108 million pixel HMX, HM2 and HM3 and other CMOS. Now, the 200 million pixel HP1 has been put into commercial use in mobile phones. However, recently, new players have entered the field of high-pixel CMOS, and SK Hynix has also successfully launched a 108 million pixel image sensor.
SK Hynix launched a 108 million pixel CMOS called Hi-A811. However, the specific specification information of this CMOS has not been disclosed yet. It is not known whether it supports four-in-one or nine-in-one pixel merging. Of course, SK Hynix's performance in the mobile phone field is not outstanding. In addition to Sony and Samsung, Ouvian Technology also has a certain market share in the domestic market. SK Hynix ranks seventh in the global image sensor market, with a share of only 2%. Previously, the more well-known products were the 8-megapixel periscope telephoto Hi847 of vivo X80 Pro, and the Hynix product is rarely seen in main cameras and ultra-wide-angle secondary cameras.
However, if SK Hynix's Hi-A811 performs well, they may play a more important role in the CMOS market, which depends on which mobile phone will be used first in this CMOS.
