In the latest iPadOS 16.1 beta version, Apple has expanded the pre-desk scheduling function to the iPad Pro model equipped with A12X or A12Z chips. In other words, the 2018 iPad Pro (third generation) and the 2019 iPad Pro (fourth generation) now also support front-end dispatching.
iPadOS 16.1 helps more devices get rid of model restrictions, allowing more old users to experience new features. Previously, the pre-stage scheduling function only supported iPads equipped with M1 chip , which caused dissatisfaction among many users. In order to better solve this problem, Apple uses software to make up for the hardware shortcomings, although these application experiences are still not as good as those of the M1 version of iPad Pro.
iPadOS 16 also expands the display amplification option to the 11-inch iPad Pro of the 2018 A12X chip and the 2020 A12Z chip, which can help users get more screen space by adjusting the resolution. This function can cooperate with pre-stage scheduling to bring a better user experience.
Of course, in the past, the display of the enlargement option also required devices equipped with M1 chip to support it.
However, it should be noted that this function has not been expanded to the 12.9-inch iPad Pro that does not have the M1 chip. In subsequent system updates, Apple may add some new features to more old models.
