At the beginning of the year, TDS Studio introduced the DA1 Cube, a small tail decoding headphone amplifier equipped with, and of course the hundred-yuan in-ear headphones BS1. However, BS1 uses an open in-ear structure that is not common in this price range. The OS1BEAT I will introduce this time is positioned between BS1 and HE01, and is also positioned as an entry-level in-ear headphone. The structure is more like a conventional male model. . Although DA1 and DA1 Cube are both from the same product series, their functionality and core DAC are different. Next, there is also a collection experience of Weize products.
The first is OS1BEAT. In fact, OS1BEAT belongs to the OperaFactory sub-brand. The product tonality of the entire OperaFactory sub-brand series is close to street culture. This can also be seen from the packaging of OS1BEAT (hereinafter referred to as OS1B). The overall structure of the packaging is still the same as that of mid-to-low-price products such as C3II. It is a sky-and-ground cover structure with a certain height left at the bottom for easy opening. The style of the pattern is a combination of graffiti patterns, and OperaFactory’s logo is also similar to a graffiti style. Accessories included in the package include pairs of EasyTips ear tips in pink tones.
OS1B has a darker smoky gray color all over, and you can see a little bit of pink when facing the light. The cavity material has a relatively high hardness, the details between the front and rear cavity are very good, and there are no workmanship flaws that can be faulted. Speaking of which, the panel design idea is to reflect a texture similar to the facets of gemstones, but combined with the graffiti-style font, I always have the feeling that the words will easily fall off the surface - according to a friend, even if it falls off, it is in line with the style. However, during this period of use, I often placed OS1B in various environments without protection, and there was no problem of fonts falling off, which surprised me. There is a structure similar to a golden screw under the panel, which should play a role in connecting and fixing the front and rear cavities, but instead it becomes a good appearance embellishment. The cavity shape of
OS1B is not much different from the conventional male-type earplugs worn around the ears. Since there is only one moving coil unit built in, the cavity size is not excessive and the weight is well controlled. The cavity has a certain thickness, but the feeling of pressure is not obvious when lying on one's side. There is no special shape adaptation on the inside of the cavity for structures such as the ear concha, but thanks to the small cavity, the actual wearing fit and stability are good. This also brings about relatively excellent physical sound isolation capabilities in male-like dynamic in-ear headphones. Officials claim that with suitable earplugs, it can achieve -25dB physical sound isolation. After actual experience, there is no way to know the specific sound pressure level change value. But the sound insulation is good. There is nothing wrong with it in terms of comfort.
OS1B is equipped with a stranded cable with a nominal material of 5N OFC, and is equipped with a single-button button and a microphone by default. The most eye-catching thing should be the conspicuous pink wire cover, which should be considered unique in the field of earplug wiring. Paired with the smoky gray-based cavity, it has a sense of collision and is full of personality. With many male model earplugs using transparent threads or ordinary black threads, the addition of pink gives people a sense of freshness and also shows that these earplugs are targeted at young people. The replaceable wire socket still uses a 0.78mm 2pin replaceable wire structure with a unique circular limit seat. The corresponding wire pins of the general flat seat and convex pin concave seat can also be used. There are also many options for in-house upgraded cables for this special socket, but considering the price and design compatibility, I suggest that the original cable is enough for listening. The ear hooks are designed with a special tilt angle for actual wearing, making them more wear-friendly than conventional designs.
Weize equipped OS1B with a fourth-generation balanced B-type moving coil unit and designed dual magnetic circuits to make the magnetic flux reach the Tesla level. The existence of an additional independent rear cavity also provides a way to optimize the sound field. . The unit size is 10mm, which is a conventional size. The overall thickness of the middle and lower plates is indeed relatively sufficient, but the sense of speed is good. The closing speed is medium and slightly fast, but it retains a certain reverberation and is not completely clean. The elasticity is quite good, with a good sense of layering, and the dive is relatively average. The atmosphere setting ability is moderate, and there will not be a particularly strong atmosphere rendering. base note The instrument located in the middle and lower plate has no obvious forward tilt.

In terms of musical instruments, OS1B's string instrument generally follows a more solid route. There are not many details in the plucked strings, and the lines are not outstanding, but the instrument itself The texture restoration is quite good. The performance of metal wind instruments is generally slightly better than that of woodwind instruments . The sense of momentum is good, and the amount of overtones is also sufficient. The woodwind instruments will sound a bit out of the sense of oppression that this type of instrument should have. percussion instrument has a certain sense of excitement. is slightly brighter. It is obvious that some frequency bands have been increased, and the sibilance of the human voice is not as focused as the HE01. The extension is quite satisfactory, the lines are not outstanding, and the transparency performance is okay. The sound field of
is not very large, and the horizontal and vertical distances are not very wide. However, the "sense of height" is not bad, which makes the sound have a certain sense of envelopment. The separation between vocals and instruments is pretty good, and the separation between instruments can only be said to be in line with the price point. The analytical capabilities are at the normal level for the price, but the "analytical feel" is slightly highlighted. Dynamic performance and transient performance are both good.
OS1B is more suitable for audiences in the pop, hip-hop, R&B and other directions of the OperaFactory sub-brand. Compared with the very impressive vocal coloring of HE01, OS1B is more about "punching to the flesh" and having enough thickness. The sound is conveyed to the user, and the two earplugs each target different groups.
Let’s talk about the situation of DA1. Compared with the DA1 Cube, the design of the DA1 is obviously more traditional. The main body is in the shape of a long strip, but it has a hardware volume control function that the DA1 Cube does not have. The indicator light is located between the volume control buttons. DA1 is also made of metal. It is carved from a whole piece of aluminum ingot and five-axis CNC. Reinforcement screws can be seen on the back panel, and the whole thing is very strong. The 3.5mm interface is located at the rear. The socket is of good quality and supports wired control recognition. In appearance, the
cable has the same material as the original cable material such as HE03D. They both appear in a brown translucent state and are very soft. The official claims that the wire core material is 5N oxygen-free copper , which is no problem as a small tail wiring. Like the DA1 Cube, the DA1 also has a non-replaceable structure. In terms of
configuration, DA1 Cube uses ESS9281C as the decoding chip, while DA1 uses ESS9270. ESS9270 integrates the SABER amplification circuit , with a theoretical signal-to-noise ratio of +116dB, and supports DSD128 and 384kHz/32Bit PCM decoding, which is completely sufficient for daily use. Both the 9281C and the 9270 are typical high-performance DACs designed for portable devices. Compared with some methods of stuffing multiple 9038PROs into a small tail, the design should be more reasonable. After all, the positioning is slightly lower than that of DA1 Cube. DA1 does not natively support MQA, so MQA users can easily choose between these two tails.
DA1 is obviously not designed for high power reserve. It is more like the standard match of Weize's own earplugs. With a maximum output level of 2vrms, it can output 70mW of power at 32 ohms, which is obviously enough for most earbuds, even higher than the DA1 Cube. During this period of use, I tried to match Weezer's own OS1BEAT, HE03D and other commonly used earplugs on my hands. Except for the ER4B and the borrowed YSM-01OFC driver, which were not particularly ideal, the other earplugs were all fine. It is worth mentioning that compared to the DA1 Cube, the heat generation of the DA1 in daily use has been improved. I don’t know if it is because of the slightly larger size that the heat dissipation is better.
DA1 There is actually no obvious difference in overall quality compared to DA1 Cube, but more of a fine-tuning of style. The overall style of DA1 takes a more modern and fresher route. There is not much dyeing in the mid- and high-frequency, and it is relatively smooth. The low-frequency amount is controlled to a certain thickness without too much gain. The accuracy of vocal imaging is even better than that of DA1 Cube, but the performance in large scenes will not be as good as that of DA1 Cube. It can be thought that audiophiles who like accurate vocals and less prominent instruments will prefer DA1, while those who pursue dynamic performance and a slightly warmer sound can choose DA1 Cube. The difference between the two lies more in form and function than in quality across grades.
Finally, let’s talk about the new straight tube sleeves that were received together. The new straight tube sleeves are added with antibacterial coating. Although they are slightly more expensive than the original straight tube sleeves, they are obviously suitable for those who value hygiene and frequent use.
