In addition, the prices of their mainstream solid-state hard drives have fallen to varying degrees. The small partners who have recently installed the machines must all know it better.
However, mainstream-priced solid-state drives are not our goal. High-end and even flagship solid-state drives are our goal.
is the SSD brand of Yangtze River Storage, which is similar to the original domestic solid-state brand, and also represents that the storage particle manufacturer of Yangtze River Storage has begun to own its own solid-state hard drive brand.
From the very beginning, Zhitai launched the high-end PC005 Active series SSD, available in three capacity versions: 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. Mushroom likes domestic solid-states very much and has always wanted to buy one, but the largest one sold at the beginning was only 512GB, and the 1TB capacity was later. It was finally on sale some time ago, and I bought a piece of mushroom immediately to see its performance.

V. ZhiTai Yangtze River Storage PC005 Active series solid state evaluation
▼SSD nominal capacity is 1TB, actual usable capacity is 953GB.
▼A brief look at the information of the solid state drive, the interface is PCIe3.0 x 4, which supports NVMe1.3.
▼Simply run an AS SSD, read 3048MB/s, write 2599MB/s, 4K read 61MB/s, write 192MB/s, the performance is good.
▼ Then simply run a DiskMark, read 3500MB/s, write 2976MB/s, 4K read 63MB/s, write 217MB/s.
▼Change the test file from 1GB to 8GB. The test data is basically stable and stable.
▼The test file has been increased to 32GB, and the read data basically has no fluctuations, and the sequential write speed is reduced from 3000MB/s to 2300MB/s, indicating the SLC of the SSD The Cache capacity should be smaller than 32GB.
▼Then continue to test the read and write performance, the test file size is 20GB, you can see that the write speed drops when the write speed is about 11G, indicating that the capacity of the SLC Cache is 11G about. In addition, the write speed outside the buffer is 750MB/s, which is also very good.
▼Try to put a little pressure on the solid state drives, they were all empty disks just now, and now the solid state drives are almost filled up, leaving only about 150GB of remaining space, simulating a situation that is almost full .
▼ Then run DiskMark, test the file size is 8GB, the data performance is good, and the performance of the empty disk is almost the same.
▼ ran the read and write test again, the write speed of 20GB files also dropped at about 11GB, and the capacity of SLC Cache was still 11GB. The capacity of SLC Cache is not large, and you can get better life performance and stability performance, and there will be no obvious full disk performance degradation and write amplification problems.
▼Finally tested the temperature performance of the solid state drive, the room temperature is about 20 ℃, daily standby, the temperature of the solid state drive is stable at about 29 ℃, not a system disk.
▼When the SSD is read,The maximum temperature is 43℃, which is very low.
▼When writing, the temperature of the solid state drive will be slightly higher, and the maximum temperature will be 52℃.
VI. Summary
The overall performance of the Titanium Active series is quite good. Mushroom bought the 1TB version with a 1GB cache from South Asia. The main control is Huirong’s 2262ENG. The storage particles are the original Xtacking storage particles of Yangtze River Storage. The overall hardware configuration is still very good.
In terms of performance, according to actual tests, the overall performance of this solid state is still very good. The sequential read and write speeds can go to about 3500MB/s, 3000MB/s, respectively, and 4K performance It's also pretty good. The capacity of Slc Cache is not too large, about 11GB, and the slow external write speed is 750MB/s, taking into account the experience and life of daily use. However, the solid-state heat is slightly larger, which is not very suitable for use in a notebook.
From this PC500 Active made by Titanium, we can see that the use of our own flash charging particles makes the performance parameters of this solid state very good in all aspects, and some subtle optimizations The design part sees some "unique" places, which must be due to some special optimizations made out of the understanding of our own storage particle chips. Mushroom is looking forward to it and expects Yangtze River Storage to have its own master control.
