Hello everyone, I am Yang Xiaoq.
Today I will explain to you Chapter 10 of "The Inner Sky - An Introduction to Astrology", Interpretation of Chart Three - Conjunct Planets and Lone Stars.
Introduction:
"The Inner Sky"
How does a planet qualify to become the focus planet? We have discussed four situations in the previous two articles, and we will discuss two more situations in this article.
88 Conjunct axial planets
Four axes
The four axes of the chart - Ascendant, Descendant, Midheaven and Nadir - are points of power. Any planet conjunct them is immediately placed in an extremely important position and becomes a focal planet with excessive power, with an influence comparable to that of the Sun, Moon and Ascendant.
The planets in conjunction with the axis are the most important, but the planets in the houses behind any axis are also important. That is to say, the first house, the fourth house, the seventh house, and the tenth house are the cardinal houses, and the status of planets placed in these houses will also be improved and become a focal planet.
rising
rising point is the most sensitive of the four axes. A planet conjunct the Ascendant or in the 1st house must be taken seriously as the ruler of the Ascendant. The logic of interpreting it is the same as that of the rising sign. At the same time, it has become part of the personal mask, strengthening or greatly changing the message of the rising sign. Like the Ascendant, it affects the person's appearance and temperament.
89 Lone Star
A Lone Star is a planet that falls alone in any of the four hemispheres. There may be a lunar node in the same hemisphere, but no other planet sharing that patch of sky.
Lone Star
This pattern puts a great burden on the planet. The key questions of that hemisphere—objectivity, subjectivity, freedom, or destiny—depend entirely on it. To compensate for this imbalance, the mind increases the influence of the planet, and the planet's qualities diffuse throughout the chart, far beyond what we would normally expect a planet, sign, house, or aspect to do.
Isolated Venus
An isolated Venus, for example, can bring artistic interest and intimacy to a person, even if the rest of the chart does not support these qualities. Likewise, an isolated Jupiter will bring optimism, an isolated Saturn will bring discipline and strictness, etc.
Lone stars are not common, but when they do appear, they are sure to become key focal planets. To ignore a lone star is to lose a sense of the big picture.
In the next article we will talk about the remaining two focal planets. # Constellation#
