After a long time, I felt someone approaching. The Buddha opened his eyes slightly and moved his hands slightly. Hearing someone ask, "World Honored One! I have a question unknown to me." The Buddha opened his eyes slightly and said, "There are many things, each with its own traces, and it does not interfere with each other. The wise man looks for it. If you have any doubts, please tell me." The man hurriedly asked, "How long is a kalpa?" The Buddha replied, "Kalpa is a chord. Take one of the chords, which can be long or short, stretched or shrinked." The man said, "World Honored One! I still don't understand. Can you explain it in detail?"
Buddha replied, " There was a huge rock that was sixteen miles long, sixteen miles wide and sixteen miles thick. Every hundred years, someone wiped it with a gauze until it smoothed the stone and no traces it had ever been revealed. Until then, it was not yet a disaster! "The man lowered his head, frowned and thought hard. At the beginning, his expression was solemn, as if there was something difficult to solve, and he was coiled between his eyebrows. He concentrated for a moment, his expression gradually relaxed, and finally his smile appeared. After celebrating the Buddha, he quietly left. The Buddha looked at his far away back and knew that he had already understood it. So he closed his eyes lightly, a smile appeared on the corner of his mouth, and said to himself: "Only by doing something and moving something, you can seek eternity."
From the above story, he tells us a truth: eternity and ephemeral dependence are mutually conditional. There is no eternity without eternity without eternity without eternity. These two thoughts exist in the human heart at the same time. If life is measured by eternity, the short term can be negligible; if life is measured by eternity, the long term can be achieved. In time and space, eternity takes steady steps and quietly enters the short-term. The infinite Dharma is eternal. The mind is eternal, that is, eternity. The transformation of thoughts is eternity.
