May be produced in Europe. Rivian plans to sell SUVs in Europe and China in 2022

According to foreign media reports, Rivian, an electric vehicle start-up, said it will continue to expand its electric vehicle product line, and plans to launch small electric vehicles for the Chinese and European markets, and may eventually be produced in Europe.

Rivian founder and CEO RJ Scaringe said that although the company has planned to start selling SUVs in Europe and China in 2022, “it is the next product that can really drive sales in these markets. The new car will be smaller and designed for Tailor-made for overseas customers.” Scaringe said, these small models will be “very suitable for other markets, especially China.” The car will share key components with Rivian pickups and SUVs.

Scaringe said: “In order to truly expand in these markets, in addition to launching new products, it is very important to have a production footprint outside the United States. If we did not regard China and Europe as long-term important markets, we would not build a car Company."
