Looking ahead to the new self-branded car at the Guangzhou Auto Show: Qin PLUS leads the way, the exhaust UNI-K is too bright

Unconsciously, it seems that the residual temperature of the Beijing Auto Show has not yet receded, and the Guangzhou Auto Show is about to open. On next Friday (November 20), the 2020 Guangzhou Auto Show will usher in the opening. As a city where China's auto industry started relatively early, Guangzhou also has many auto companies gathering. And in the 2020 final battle, which self-owned brand models are worth paying attention to?

BYD Qin PLUS

Some time ago, BYD released a new car preview map, which has now shown that it is a brand new Qin PLUS model. The new car is positioned as an A+ class car, which is higher than the previous BYD Qin. It seems that BYD is also learning Geely's "leapfrog tactics". Judging from the official new car preview map currently released, this car will also adopt the BYD family-style front face design, with a large area of the net with sharp headlights on both sides, which looks very combative.

At the same time, the rear of the new car also uses a through-type taillight design, which looks a bit like "Small BYD Han", and also uses a new font letter logo above the taillight, which looks more innovative. Regarding the interior, there is no news yet. However, I estimate that BYD’s family-style symmetrical design will also be equipped with a large floating screen. After all, car companies have "learned badly" from the public. In terms of power, the new car will be equipped with BYD's latest Xiaoyun-Plug-in hybrid 1.5L engine, which will probably also appear with the plug-in hybrid power, but the specific parameters are currently unknown.

Changan UNI-K

Following the UNI-T, Changan has brought a larger and higher-level UNI-K. The new car will also become the second model of the Changan UNI family. At present, Changan Automobile has not released the actual car map. Judging from the official map, the new car will continue to adopt Changan's "borderless" design language. The shape of the former China Net is more creative while continuing the Changan family-style design. The headlights on both sides are very flat and long, but they do not adopt a split design. The shape of the daytime running lights below is very technological.

Judging from the rear of the car, the new car will also adopt a through-type taillight design, but the four exhausts on the lower side are too conspicuous, and it is difficult for anyone to notice. It seems that this car has to "show off" its sense of performance. . In terms of power, the new car is expected to be equipped with Changan’s 2.0T Blue Whale engine and matched with Aisin’s 8AT gearbox. It will also provide a timely four-wheel drive system on high-end models. From the concept car at the Beijing Auto Show to the actual car debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show, this car is really attractive.

Chery Arrizo 5 PLUS

Should Chery be regarded as a first-line independent brand or a second-line independent brand? If a few years ago, I would have said that Chery was a first-line independent brand without hesitation, but now I might have hesitated for a while. Just like the question of whether Cadillac is still a luxury brand. Putting these aside, at this year's Guangzhou Auto Show, Chery will bring the latest Arrizo 5 PLUS. From the appearance point of view, the new car will have two different design styles, one focusing on young and dynamic, and one focusing on mature and stable. Perhaps it was the inspiration from New Fit? In terms of power, the new car will continue to be equipped with a 1.5T engine matched with a CVT gearbox with a maximum power of 156 horsepower. The new car will be available for pre-sale on the opening day of the Guangzhou Auto Show (November 20) and will be officially launched in December.

Harvard First Love

Harvard First Love had already made its debut at the Beijing Auto Show, but it did not release the new car interior at the time, and can only be seen roughly through the glass. At the Guangzhou Auto Show, Haval First Love will publicly release the interior for the first time, but the interior map of the actual car has been released before. I wonder if people will pay attention? From my perspective, this car looks like a "reduced version of Haval H6", except for the two "tears" on the front face. In terms of power, the new car will be equipped with the Great Wall Group's 1.5T engine. It seems that fuel consumption still needs to be paid attention to.

Summary: It can also be seen from the lineup of self-owned brand new cars at this year's Guangzhou Auto Show that although SUVs continue to be popular, cars have always been basic models. Looking at these new cars from my personal point of view, I still look forward to what the real BYD Qin PLUS cars will look like. (Text/Jianyu)
