NIO ES8 has been on the market for 5 years. Now the new ES8 has officially completed its application with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and is expected to be launched on NIO DAY on December 24. The new ES8 is built on the NT2.0 platform, with significantly longer vehicle length and wheelbase, and the power of dual motors is improved. It is expected that the price of the new car will be raised, with the starting price going to be around 500,000 yuan.
0 The new ES8 adopts the latest X-Bar family design language, which is simpler than the current model. The new car is equipped with split headlights, and the roof is equipped with a watchtower lidar and two cameras. The side of the car has been changed to a more straight and simple line, the front fender has been added with a rear view camera, and the rear is changed to a through-type light group. The overall shape is somewhat similar to that of the Porsche Cayenne.
The interior of the new ES8 is expected to adopt a similar design to ES7, equipped with a 10.2-inch LCD instrument and a 12.8-inch OLED central control screen. The new car adopts a 6-seat layout. Considering the size improvement, it is expected that the seating space in the car will be larger than the current model. The new ES8 will be equipped with NT2.0 autonomous driving hardware, air suspension, electric suction doors and seat massage, and will be equipped with optional configurations such as orange calipers, roof rack, electric trailer hook, 20/21/22-inch wheels.
The new ES8 is equipped with front and rear dual motors, with a maximum power of 180kW in the front motor, a maximum power of 300kW in the rear motor, a comprehensive power of 480kW in the combined torque of 850N·m (refer to ES7). The ES8 will provide a standard battery pack of 75kWh and a long battery pack of 100kWh. The corresponding CLTC battery pack is expected to be around 500km and 600km.
