Before Ferrari was one of the few supercar manufacturers that did not announce the Gran Turismo video game concept car, but now things have changed. At the event celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Sony GT World Finals, Ferrari showed off its own Vision Gran Turismo concept car, including a full-size prototype and virtual car in digital form, with a stunning low-suspension body, a single-seat layout, and a V6-based hybrid with huge power and torque data.

From a design perspective, the Ferrari Vision Gran Turismo looks wilder than any model, including the recently released 499P endurance racing car. This is because as a vehicle in a video game, designers don’t have many restrictions to design it in extreme proportions.

fenders protrude from the exquisitely carved body, showing beautiful curves, while contrasting sharply with the sharp front and rear, with slender LED headlights on the front and rear. The ground clearance is close to zero, and the front is equipped with a large diverter, and the fins on the side sill and the rear diffuser are almost in contact with the asphalt.

Other interesting details include huge vents on the sides, and a large rear wing at the rear of the roof. Finally, the wraparound windshield covers the entire single cockpit.

integrated interior design, and the yoke steering wheel integrates a digital LCD screen and instrument panel.

This supercar is inspired by iconic racing cars from the past, including the 330 P3 and 512 S. According to the official press release, the Vision GT is “the futuristic design language for Ferrari roads and racing” and “redefines the company’s design style.” This may mean that some of its styling clues will be shown in new models in the future.

Unlike Porsche or Jaguar Vision GT concept car with pure electric power system, Ferrari chose a hybrid system closer to its mass-produced models. Power is provided by a 3.0-liter mid-twin turbo V6 engine. After retuning, the maximum power reaches 1016 HP (758 kW/1030PS) and the peak torque is 900 Nm. In addition, there is another 322 hp (240 kW / 326 PS) from three motors located on the front and rear axles . Ferrari said that the combined torque of the hybrid system on the rear axle of alone is 1,100 Nm (811 lb-ft). Thanks to F1-derived technology, the battery has enough power to maintain optimal performance at all times.

transmission system matches eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, accelerating from 0-100 km (0-62 mph) in 2 seconds, from 0-200 km/h (0-124 mph) in 5 seconds, and a top speed of more than 350 km/h (218 mph). Despite its complex power system, the Ferrari VGT is only slightly heavier than the Mazda MX-5, with a dry weight of only 1250 kg (2756 lbs), with a front accounting for 43.5% and a rear accounting for 56.5%, and is much lower than the 1570 kg (3461 lbs) of the SF90.

Full-size prototype of the Ferrari Vision Gran Turismo concept car will be on display at the Ferrari Museum in Maranello and will be on display until March 2023. Starting December 23, users with Playstation consoles will be able to drive the Gran Turismo 7, just in time for holiday gaming nights.
